Wonder where he got "enough experience" to go straight in to the team? :D

Obviously the 6 games he played in the ESC should suffice as "enough"

Good luck to him... interesting move though as I would have expected him to have turned down staying with us as an option as he wanted to be considered a first choice keeper... expected a move down a division to be someone's number1. Doesn't sound like that is the case at Torquay if Rice is fit

I think going there to be no 2 makes a lot of sense. He's now got a contract, he can plan where he's going to live and so on.
What did he get offered by us - come back for pre-season training, we might then offer you something? Nah, I'd go for the firm offer every time.

To me, the 'come back for pre-season' is just a cop out from just telling him he wasn't wanted. He's been with the club for two years, what is he going to suddenly show in a few weeks of training?

Good luck to him and hope it works out down there .

When he was given his chance at the end of last season in all honesty he simply did not look good enough.

Harsh but the truth often is.
