The strikers who have scored the most goals for us over the past few seasons have been strikers signed up from teams playing in a couple of leagues below us, such as Hawkins from Hemel Hempstead, and Corey Whitely from Enfield. I think this is the best way forward when signing players. Sign up players who are playing well week in week out in the divisions below who deserve the chance to play at a higher level. Signing wasted up free agents simply isn't the answer, after all, players who are free agents at this point of the season are free agents for a reason!

But has just signed a new contract! Tampon would look for an extortionate amount of money to let him go!

Or maybe we could let the guys that are in football and paid to find players do that...

We all remember Nyron Nosworthy do we not?? a 35+ year old with no record for the past four or five years certainly isn't the answer... Cureton was a different kettle of fish as he had goals in his everywhere he went

Not to sad to hear Labadie come up in discussion personally... possibly that bit of fight that we need and the ability (if he's not sent off) to get the crowd on side with a big tackle in front of the home fans when the atmosphere is flat

Can't be worse than hearing Stuart Lewis' name mentioned previously

Second highest goal scorer in conference south, Gabriel Ralston of St Albans, has 9 goals in conference south already having scored 32 for Haringey last season. Not sure if national league might be too much too soon but he seems to know where the goal is.

Yeah we just need 2 or 3 wiser heads in of correct mould. Doesn't mean 35 year old who not kicked a ball for 2 years.
Labadie walks into this team but doubt we be able to afford him anyways. Just need that rough gem found and fast.
I remember a few who used to score for fun in lower leagues and when signed for us couldn't hit a barn door.
Anyways COYD whoever we get in.
but we finished 9th!

Just seen Ross Lafayette has signed for Billericay from Sutton, Again another striker better than anything we currently have in our squad at the moment & comes with bags of experience that could probably have improved us short term (ex Sutton,Dover,Aldershot,Luton,Woking)
