Hopefully their sad situation gets resolved soon.

I've seen one or two articles suggesting that they are looking for a groundshare until the mess is sorted. Should we be offering them a temporary home? It is unlikely I know as they aint even the right side of the Thames as us. I had a look at their fixtures and they are playing home matches when we are away. I know we would have to give most of the profits to Dulwich but there must be some expenses in the game that would be ours e.g. bar money. I don't know if the pitch can take it massively long term but there are only 10ish games left in the season.

I was just about to start a topic on this, albeit on a slightly different matter.

Yet as far as ground sharing, you'd also have to consider that it's not just the first team of DRFC that play at Victoria road, so may not be as compatible as a first glance would suggest. Having said that, it would be good if we could help, would certainly help both teams in their current situations.

Which is what I was going to touch on, for those not aware, Dulwich Hamlet are in a slight spot of bother, in short the Landlords of the ground, Champion Hill, have out of nowhere given a back dated ground rent bill (£121,000) to the football team and has also trade marked the name of the club, namely; "Dulwich Hamlet Football Club", "The Hamlet" and "DHFC". The landlords have too terminated the club's licence to play at the ground.

Some more background, the landlords are Meadow Residential LLP, a property investment fund whom own the stadium, it was purchased four years ago for £5.7m, however, they were blocked by the local council (Southwark) in their bid to build an £80m residential site on the ground.

Now all of this has garnered quite a fare bit of media attention, as well as that from ex-pros, local lad Rio Ferdinand, whom has his own affordable housing group did go into talks with Meadow and the local council, yet it amounted to nothing.

The club has a good local following and a strong fan base and seems to do well across social media and now has the backing of the London Mayor, local MPs and even has a backer in the House of Lords.

There is a lot that could be said for why Dulwich, not to discredit them at all, have succeeded in so many places, where we have just failed.

I do appreciate the situations are slightly different, yet it seems to me that we just aren't raising our voices loud enough, either as a club or as a fan base.
