It isn't just about people swearing about though is it.
It's about people letting of flares or smoke bombs, trying to start fights with opposition supporters or being outright abusive towards other people - be that other club supporters, our players or other people at the club.
Those aren't things that should be tolerated in any way.

I think you should all take a step back and read all of these posts again and see how pathetic it has all become, it’s not only the younger fans who use bad language there is a small group of older guys who always stand on the halfway line section in the sieve every home game and use naughty words and give abuse to the team, and that’s the only point worth taking on board .... the unnecessary abuse of the team when things aren’t going well! So stop the bickering and petty threats of censoring/banning and get back to doing what we all want to do, making as much noise as we can and supporting our team as best we can.

The original posts were about swearing though, the other things you've thrown in to suit your agenda. As we know you're pretty fouled mothed towards match officials at games. Practice what you preach.

If you have a read back through the thread you'll find there was someone else that brought up how well behaved our supporters supposedly are.
I'm just pointing out that there are some very clear examples of things that go against that.

I'm not sure why you've mentioned what language I use.
If you can find anywhere that I've said people should not swear I'll donate £20 to the charity of your choice.
Id suggest you choose a charity that might be able to help you stop paying so much attention to me at games.
To be honest I'm slightly disturbed that you mention so much about me while I wouldn't know you if you jumped around in front of me.

You pointed out one example of a smoke bomb out of how many games? I mentioned your language because you mentioned about breaking ground regulations which you clearly do. Can't have it both ways cowboy.

One occurrence of a smoke bomb is one too many. Again I mentioned it in relation to a specific point which it contradicts.
How do you know that I do break ground regulations?

Found any evidence of me saying people shouldn't swear?

A handful of our most loyal fans regularly indulge in unacceptable behaviour. I wouldn't want to dissuade them from attending games but do think some need to take a look.

I mentioned this before but I saw 2 regulars at Woking giving Adams abuse calling him f'in useless at a volume he could hear. When another fan challenged them they lost the plot even more.

I really don't understand the issue with swearing. I've been going for 21 years and it has always been in chants and comments from the terraces. Some of the songs these days are undoubtedly more puerile than in the past but don't think it's terrible.

Not been to all away games this season but have not missed many in the previous seasons. The behaviour issue is being over exagerated . The Boreham Wood incident was regreatable but if their is one creting who wants to involve themselves then that is one to many but ypu are never going to Police that. Taking retrospective action is the only option if such morons can ever be identified.

There was the incident at Eastleigh and I understand that the culprits were dealt with after.

Thlankfully these incidents are rare, in fact over the same period their has been more incidents involving players, Managers and other Employees who have been seen or reported to act in a Manner not befitting a " Family Club" image

There's an old saying.....divide and rule.....and that's whats happening at Dagenham & Redbridge right now.
I'm gonna list some of my personal beefs and don't give a flying cockpit who does or doesn't agree with them:-
1) Worse thing this club has done is to 1) build the TBS to such a huge capacity, and 2) then allow "home" fans in the away end. Immediately you've segregated the home support; the only possible remedy for this is to build a 1/2 seated half standing home end, to cater for those who want to watch football from a chair. Until something similar is done, our fanbase will always be divided, and the atmosphere will remain non existent, and the bitching continuing.

2) John Still has been fantastic for this club in his various guises. There were those who didn't want him back, myself included, but Burnett was never a true Dagger. I have felt that a wind of change was necessary, especially after John sided with the Tamplin initative. However a 2 year contract has now made that unlikely. This club does not have the resources to settle one contract whilst installing another manager. My feeling on this is that he will be happy to see out that 2 years in the Conference and retire with the club lingering above relegation to the South.

3/ On the pitch last year, one player carried us through the season and well into the play offs. JMD was a different class to our squad, and players like Corey Whiteley fed off of this, making themselves look better than they really were. Speaking with members of JMD's family, he really wanted to come back here this year. Why did we not make a 100% effort to get him signed? Because certain people didn't want us promoted!! Promotion would have meant having to work a bit harder again, on and off the field.

4/ Finally on the email from Gerry H. Was it really from him? Or yet someone else, claiming they have the clubs interests at heart? The club needs to be a lot more open about the so called takeover, injury updates and board decisions. Injury lists are always cat and mouse fodder for opposition teams, but at least be serious about the long term ones.

The people(note, I say people, more than 1) that are determined to line their pockets at the expense of this club, need to be driven from the club in order to get us back on a level playing field.

Open your eyes to whats really going on!!!

Oh dear you might go on the naughty list for saying all these things.

By the way this is my own opinion it has nothing to do with the Dagenham & Redbridge Supporters Club.
I have to write this because Auntie Merge said this to me " @DaggerNewbie. If you don't want your posts to be taken as speaking from the supporters club then don't post under the same username that you use for all the supporters club posts ".Unless things have changed I always thought you could on have one username.

Some fair points there dj but really was the TBS original building plans set out for the away fans only? Been to many grounds and I don 't know one that away fans are giving the best stand in the ground and with nice facilities. Also do we have a major issues with most away fans next to us NO, how many times do we all clap their group when they turn up next to us and announcer on pa gives us figures, don't know of that in the top flights. Do we have I wonder a sieve fan club sure we could get those supporters over there transfered to our wonderful end. Most who go up to TBS are hard core, and do a great job with the vocals and I know our boys appreciate it, the only alternative and we heard it a few times is build that roof at Bury Road end, expand it a bit and congregate up there, and let's all stick together and just see the difference.

Dagdale what will you do if we win promotion and segregation comes back into force for league games will you be coming over to the dark side in the sieve ?.
By the way this is my own Opinion it has nothing to do with the Dagenham & Redbridge Supporters Club.

Of course I would dnb, after all in those 2nd Division days every home I was there like most of the TBS crowd, and tomorrow cause of the O's taking it I'll be back over there, but dropping this level with the likes of Luton and Grimsby gone fair play to the club for allowing us a sector in our grand 'new stand. Half a century now going to football and seen far worse darker days, almost 40 years with a West London outfit and although wasn't all bad sailing its far more decent now especially when you follow a club where every individual seems to matter. and re swearing have I got something wrong here? I 'm like many hate politics getting involved in football but most of 'my heyday' football was a working class game and football was a massive outlet for me and still is and to many, many others. Maybe we shouldn't keep blaming Brussels but political correctness has enforced into avenues of just about everything here and its peeing me off big time. I swear at football, can you or should you change an old dog? But a big but, never use the 'c' word, and even if I tank up a bit on pre match octane weigh up those standing or seating close by you, kiddies and elderly please show some respect, I know some may say it goes a bit in songs and today's world even youngsters know many bad words so young but the greatest values we have as human beings is to show respect between each other.
