An appauling, mind numbing, atrocious 1st half

Followed by an electric, totally superb 2nd.

Intensity and tempo was bang on!

Less said about the pen miss the better but I dont think there was a person in the footy club who didnt expect corey to score it.

Great 3 points, boosted the goal difference up nicely and a little break now to regroup before the next one.

Happy days!!

The first half looked like a team without an Away win in a while... second half was a team realising the opposition was atrocious at the back

His poor form either stops or surely he's gotta sit out for a bit.Corey at the moment shouldn't be taking throw ins. He had a nightmare today and on telly. Morgan should have took it. Also why didn't Corey put the ball across the goalmouth instead of the poor shot into the side netting. Still is keeping Corey happy by pissing off Romsin, sparkes , Kandi and Bloomfield who are all making an impression when they get on. Motm toss up between Ferrier and Ling. The good thing about having a daughter that lives up here is it's only half hour back to hers from Chester. It was freezing there today. A good win.

Pretty much every game Ferrier tries to beat a player he's already beaten rather than put a cross in or take a shot.
As for Still pissing of Romain, Sparkes, Kandi and Bloomfield - Bloomfield doesn't play where Whiteley does and hasn't made that much of an impression (but has loads of potential). Sparkes and Kandi have only just come back from injuries.

Whitely might not be at his bet but he still makes things happen - played a part in the first two goals last weekend.

Had a mare today. His free kick hit the wall, kept giving the ball away, missed pen, got a bit greedy with the shot into the side netting , went off and we scored 3. Ferrier made a name for himself today Corey wasted the opportunity. Actually he nicked the ball off Morgan for the pen. Terrible penalty.

Great second half today, well played the boys, and well done Stilly for whatever he said to them.

Lots of positives out of three good results in a row and once again a mixed bag of results elsewhere. Whoever sticks a run of form together is going to win this league, and as it stands that is us.

Long way to go but very encouraging at the moment.

As for the penalty, it was a shocker, but had Corey scored it might have been the boost he needed to kick on again, as I thought he was looking like getting back into some form Tuesday. Question is would sticking him on the bench now totally wreck his confidence, or does Stilly stick with him. I suggest that in Still we trust tbh.

No one will feel worse about the penalty or a few bits of other poor decision making than Corey will himself.

I can understand why Stilly persists with Corey, even when struggling he still manages to get himself involved, but the end product was obvious below par today. So often attacking players who are struggling will just disappear completely when they're having a bad run of form. Corey just needs to find his form again and we'll be glad we waited. I notice he also seems to be putting more of a defensive shift in lately, few good interceptions and tackles when tracking back.

First half was poor but Chester weren't much better. Neither team did anything with the ball, passing accuracy stats for both sides must have been laughable at the break.

Ferrier took a while to get into the game but was great when he did. Cheek took his goals well, might not be fully on fire at the moment but it's hard to doubt him when he gets in a goal-scoring position.

Again I'm pleased to see Sparkes having a decent game. It's going to be hard to argue against starting him soon.

Looks like we've got a break until our next game which is Barrow away. Looks on paper to be a good opportunity to continue our recent winning run.

When ferrier stopped being greedy and passed to his team mates he actually looked good and did well.

Cheek was fantastic in the 2nd half not only with his goals but he seemed very driven throughout the half helping to make luke howell’s goal and constantly giving his midfield teammates an option

Whitely should be dropped with sparkes coming in

Well at half time was certainly thinking what the f am I doing here.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall at HT as obviously something was said.

Well done Morgan you were by far the best player on the park .

Another good show by Ling and special word for Jake Howells who got us out of some situations , some of our own making , first half.

As for Whiteley,we often hear of Accusations players not carrying.

Is it possiable for somebody to care and try to hard.

Was fearing the worst when he placed the ball for the penalty and it proved justified.

Great result great, second half performance on a cold freezing day

Excellent 2nd half today

Defence was immense!

A bit of belief back in the side....weekend off next week...Sparkes needs to start
instead of Whitely

Why do a few think Corey is still deserves to be playing he having to many bad games sorry you can`t keep saying give him a chance bench him and give someone else a run. But glad Micheal Cheek bagged a couple as for Morgan played his heart out and looked knackered when he went off all we need to do now is do this to Barrow.

Think he needs it Mike...he seems to think he's untouchable!

We can do this without JMD...we can do it without Whiteley!!

Where on earth do you get the ridiculous idea that he thinks he's untouchable from?

He's working his nuts off every game and gets up and down as much as always. If anything he keeps trying too hard to make things happen.

For one thing it's the opinion of those people.
He might not be at the level he was, but he still scares the crap out of defenders when he runs at them and he still makes things happen.
He's nothing like as bad as some are making him out to be.
