Will The Beans Mean No Hines

It is plainly obvious to me that Hines when he is on it has to be in the top 5 players in this League.

Surely it wont be much longer before we look at extending his contract. Be warned however there has to be an element of risk involved along with good business sense.

Lets Start with the good business sense.

His commitment to a longer deal will surely put numbers on the gate long term.

Any expenditure spent can be recouped by a fee that his talents will surly command and hopefully money taken at the gate.

The Risk

I cant be the only one who has flinched at some of the tackles he has been subjected to in recent games . Some of them have been just plain nasty . He is being targeted by opponents for the rough stuff make no mistake and any injury sustained may make the risk to great to take.

Would like to hear others views

I think we need to look at extending him because his season thus far cannot have gone unnoticed by other clubs *cough peterborough cough* and sooner or later someone will offer us money for him - but only if he's here next season, if he stays on a one year deal, based on recent showings he'll walk into another club without breaking a sweat.

Agree with Sussex - try to sign him for next year now, if necessary with a clause that he can go if we get offered £x for him?

I don't think we'll be able to keep him.Im not so worried about the tackles,he knows what he's doing and has been in there with the toughest at a much higher level. You'd never sign anyone if you worried about that sort of thing. It would be great if we could give him an extension and add a few quid to his wages, hopefully the club have flirted with relegation enough to realise that maybe just stretching the purse strings a bit will seem a good idea now.We messed up with Benno,I still say we could have bunged him a few quid and not have got relegated out of league 1(Maintained higher attendances etc...,and I said it at the time) so lets not repeat our mistakes.Id definitely try and keep Murphy too, offload Woodall and Scott as soon as contractual obligations expire and spread the money about a bit.Gates will increase and we wont have to watch another 3 years of poop football like we have these last few hoofball going no where seasons.

So I wished for hoofball to get binned, the ball to be passed out from the back,Daggers to be allowed in the TB stand,Medy to make regular starts,Still and Harris to be sacked and an online shop.....Im doing alright really.Still need a roof but i'll wait.

Sometimes I feel contracts are open to complete abuse and never gives me confidence on holding any player, look how many have been broken to even some players a fan thinks is so loyal, of course a lot of it is about money at the end of the day, but if, a big if we slowly keep playing fairly well and after all as it stands even with a good win against league leaders Rochdale Saturday were be way up there near the crown, and now with Wayne guiding this team well sure he will pull out all barrels to hold us into a play off place and who knows long way off I know but if we do get out of this Division would Hines leave or any other lads playing so well for us at the moment. Imagine the confidence with the lads beating Rochdale Saturday. Last season no secret, our awful displays came basically lacking a striker or two, open box no fire power, just nobody there. Murphy, Hines and even Abs this season has made our side a pleasure to watch. Hines will stay if we carry on keeping it like it is at present. BTW second that to gives us 'bar side' of TBS would be a fantastic bonus, keep playing well, one day the rest of our ground will be as nice.
