The FA decide to abolish subs and you have to keep only the best 11.What do you do ??

Me.....

Lewy
Hoyte,Doe,Saah,Femi
Abs,Bingham,Howell
Hines,Murphy, Elito

Respect from me to Scotty Doe,Billy Bingham and Abs in Midfield.

My history with Doey has been rather scathing (I invented Clumsy Doe so theres a clue)But he is now the finished article and whatever waynes done or said to him has worked a treat.Billy bingham I have dished out a fair bit of stick to as well in the past, its fair to say he's shut me right up this year and I now "Get it".Abs is more than worthy of a midfield place though is probably the leagues best RB.I hope the inclusion of all 3 in their respective preferred positions in my team can be recognised as testament to their hard work in proving me and others wrong.

Difficult to say, for me it's all according to the style of the other team. E.g if we're playing a big physical side, I wouldn't play Elito, Murphy and Hines all together.. But the definites would be

Lewington,
Hoyte, Saah,
Ogogo, Howell, Bingham,
Hines, Murphy,

The other 3 would be dependent on the opposition.

Hines and Murphy both seem to have better scoring records than Dwight Gayle did last year. Talking to Sussex at Northampton he suggested we ought to get Hines signed up on a longer deal because someone from a higher level is bound to come in for him.

Doe isn't the finished article. He's always been a very good CB at this level who is prone to the odd lapse (hence why he's playing at L2 level). He's had the odd dip here and there but there's not many in this league I'd have over him. Quick and reads the game extremely well.

I don't think you can name an 11 as it fluctuates depending on form.

Jeeeeezus !!! My little game is never straight forward is it.At least nobody has named a subs bench yet.Its just a hypothetical.A bit of fun.Come on name your all weather 11.

Lee....Even you've gone all pedantic on me in this thread.I thought you'd be pleased with my updated opinion.

For me Doe is now the finished article, well as finished as its possible to actually be for a League 2 player for his position.Obviously you'd never actually get a truly finished article because giving away the ball just once would blemish the perfection required.Even Messi gets it wrong occasionally.I maintain that Doey had donkey like qualities for quite a while and was a bit clumsy but now I think he's a pretty class act.No dodgy pass backs anymore and a pretty formidable defender these days.

Lewy
Hoyte Doe Saah Connors
Howell Bingham Abu
Scott Murphy Hines

Not sure Scott is ever fit long enough but don't think Obafemi should start every week and Dickson I have barely seen. I would expect Femi to get some games too.
