Glad to see the forum is still below playground level. Gives you a warm feeling that whatever else happens the fans will always be non-league.

ARNU wrote:Right having read the rest of the thread to here I am convinced that it wasn't particularly clever nicknaming Tamplin Tampon.I hereby relinquish any claim to being the first but was truly unaware it had been used prior to my use of it.(Sure I called him Tampax in the first instance anyway, dunno or care)

I would like to now copyright the word Canestan as it will be used in relation to anyone I perceive to be an irritating Tnuc.

As in "That So in so is a right canestan!"
At risk of being accused of pedantry, canestan is used to treat fungal infections and so actually alleiviates the irritation, it is not the source of the irritation.

As the new season starts I thought I would add my comment regarding this situation.
If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck ........ it is a duck.
It looks like another Hornchurch.
There are probably only 7-800 real supporters who eat, drink and sleep Dag and Red. Alienate 50 or so of them and you do far more long-term damage than the short-term advantage of £250k.
Of course I could be wrong (I bet I am not), but the Tamplin deal is, in my opinion, utter madness!

"Fabrication Specialists"!

Did any one else notice the advertising for AGP Steel? "The Fabrication Specialists".
Something that could have more than one meaning...

Anyway, can someone tell me if he was at the game today? He wasn't in the bar after the game as far as I know.
Seeing that he wants to be our no 1 supporter/owner, why is he not trying to introduce himself to the supporters of the club, to prove that his interest in us is honourable?
Why is he not telling us what his plans are for the club?
I've also been googling more than has been on here about his companies and background I am actually far more worried about his potential involvement in the Daggers. I fear that if he buys into the club, it won't be a matter of IF we go into admin, it will be a matter of WHEN do we go into admin. Even more concerning if he is given any controlling share of the club. 80% is ridiculous. Added that this guy has no loyalty to us whatsoever. Yeah, he maybe now sponsoring the Barking College Family Stand, but that means nothing; its only a bit of PR.

I can't understand why you dismiss my comments completely.
The only people, from what I understand, who want Tamplin are Tamplin, Dave the Plumber and Thommo.
No one else wants him.
So why are we going to risk the whole future of the club on a whim of three people?
If Thommo was telling the truth in his interview last week, that we do not need to sell, why are we entertaining someone with such a poor credit history?
Is Thommo lying?

Why would Thommo want this deal so badly ? What's his motivation ? Dosent seem to me given his history that he'd have sinister intent .

The consortium plan to get get rid of Tommo, so that's one motivation for him not liking their bid.

Somebody else has alrteady commented there was a lot of adverts all around the Ground yesterday. Notice on Player thaty there was a promenent advert above the Tunnel. Looks to me that they are trying to inflicyt on People that it is a done deal.

At Elections they do exi t Polls and I dare say that one has been carried out and when the numbers stack up the deal will be done.

As I commented at the outset Turkeys dont vote for an eary Christmas.

Out of interest out of this 250k the Consortium put in is there anythying extra in the budget to pay off those they want to move on. Would expect that those they want rid of have contracts and that wont come cheap . The 250k will have a hole in it from day one
