So first match tonight, be interesting to see who will be starting and if any trialists play. Barnet beat Ware 4-0 on Saturday.

Scott Griffiths on trial is no surprise but GLENN SOUTHAM!?

I suspect he's the new Fraser Toms.

Picking up where we left off last season I see.

Looks like a team of kids with Griffiths and Southam playing for fitness while they look for clubs. Expect the first team squad will be at Thurrock tomorrow.

I'd have Griffiths back. Probably a better option than Widdowson

So it was a kids team last night bar Griffiths and Southam who are here to keep fit. Unless someone comes in for Widdowson we wont be signing Griffiths.

First team tonight over at Thurrock.

3-1 tonight, thought Doe looked a bit shaky, Justham had a quiet one but has very good distribution, Curtley Williams looked good, even the Hawk looked decent, he got 2 and held the ball up nicely, Assombalonga wasn't too great tonight, needs to be a bit more composed in front of goal, a left back who I think was from west ham u21s played in the second half and looked really good going forward and was good on and off the ball, didn't really get a chance to see him defend though. Sure there's someone who was there who will disagree with all of that though.

Pitch was so long, hard for players to pass or run with the ball. Hawkins was good, took his goals well Assombolonga is quick - little else to report.

What the others said typical first game for many lots of sharpness needed but it will come. Assombalonga is very very quick. The right back second half put some super balls in.

Pennell hobbling around the ground at the end was not a good sight.

I'm pleased to see Hawkins has finally found his level.
