Go on Daggers spite me , I can see a second trip to Morecambe in a matter of days coming here.

1-1.

There is a bit of posative history here mind.

We have the same ref who gave us a penalty for handball that nobody else saw when he took charge of the
League game season before last against Morecambe.

See you have 3 of the 4 loan players in your squad, may be the case that Dunne will not allowed to be cup tied by Portsmouth.
The only other one that may be prevented from playing by his parent Club is Ayo, cant see the other two Parent Clubs objecting.

I also fancy the draw sussex. I will be at the same place aa our Southport game last year.. Southend adventure island.

I think it could be similar score wise as well.. 0-0. But I wouldn't rule out your 1-1 either.

Lump on the draw

I've got serious newboyitis so I'm going, love it over there. People talk about lack of entertainment, but having spent years surrounded by corporate wankers and middle class muppets in a soulless bowl watching a quality footballing team (and paying a bag for the pleasure with the threat of someone texting the grassing line and having me ejected due to my fondness of the word *****) I find it refreshing to watch honest football with people who actually care! Again, I'm a johnny come lately, glory hunting dagger of 6 whole games so I don't think my opinion is worth much! Not having a go at those who disagree.

I will be going. It is the FA Cup, always special, even with our current predicament.

Me and some mates are taking advantage of the £35 hospitality packages for the day. Ticket in stand, carvery dinner, couple of glasses of wine, bit of a laugh, can't go wrong.

Am I happy with the state of things at the moment, NO. However, I go to football to see my mates, socialise, speak to different people and then watch the football. And that doesn't mean I don't care, I care as much as anyone, I don't have another Team, and I have written to Steve Thompson before with ideas on some changes (and he replied). But I am not suddenly going to stop going because of all this.

I'm going.

Not too fussed about the result or team though, I'd rather we prioritised the next 2 games. Better chance of Wembley through the JPT and points in the league are a must at the moment.

There was a time when the FA Cup brought a buzz to the club and all the posts on the official site about "cup fever" would have been spot on. Sadly after last season's capitulation to Southport that has now gone for me for the moment at least. It didn't look to me like those involved last year were that bothered, despite it being a great chance to win a couple of rounds and bring a smile (and some much needed noney) into the club which was only a little better off than it is now in the League.

Like Mr Dashwood I go to the Daggers for a catch up with my mates and cheer my team on and have been doing that for a long time. Right now it doesn't feel like my team though for many reasons, including the badge on the shirt. I get a lot more enjoyment out of watching my boy play these days.

As stated previously, having already been mug enough to fund the current team by buying a season ticket, I won't be paying actual cash to watch the game on Saturday (or next Wednesday). If we sneak through this one I will play it by ear from there whether I go along to future rounds.

Call it glory hunting or voting with my feet. I wuld say anyone watching the current lot isn't glory hunting though. we haven't seen any sort of glory since 2011 really.

Well as a Dagenham and Redbridge supporter its simple really I will be there supporting my team, that's what supporters do don't they ?

Remembering the last time we were on a run like this we made the 3rd round that in involved 6 games. In fact the home time against Millwall in the third round we were the better team and should have won. In them days the scapegoat was Jake Reid and Gavin Tomlin , both missed chances that should have won the game for us.

Don't talk to me about entertainment, along with a number of others I saw every game during that run and at times it was beyond dreadful. People who hark about yesteryear seem to forget we have been in worse states then this. During that time we were not just losing we were getting demolished by very average teams Aldershot and Cheltenham being two prime example.

Also remember the replay at Bath , we were ran all over by a bunch of part timers and got away with it because of a very fortunate deflection when Jon Nurse was standing twenty yards off side.

The replay at Bath was on the TV, I remember phoning me Dad at Half time asking for his opinion only to be told he could not offer one as he never had a big enough TV to see the ball.

Also my fellow Daggers who was standing on that cold terrace that night had one of the biggest laughs we have ever had , the Cameraman behind our goal pissed off twenty minutes from the end, think the corner by Tomlin were he kicked the flag out of the ground was the final straw for him. Things got even worse after that culminating in a home defeat against Hereford who were without doubt one of the worse teams I have ever seen. In those great days we managed to lose to them twice.

Also remember Crewe away the following week, Abu kicked the ball back to Lewington and he fly kicked it and it rolled in .That night we spoke to Steve Thompson at Euston Station ,we were rank bottom of the League and he was assuring us we were not going down, Three days later down at Torquay it was even worse , I have never seen a more one sided game only end 1-0 and the positive vibes that he had given me the previous Saturday looked the most stupid statement I have ever heard.

Some People have very sort memories about bygone years , I don't and remembering that I have seen it all before. That year by the way we were safe with four games left and we were hardly electrifying at any point of that season.

See, I would argue supporters want the best for their team. Burnett is blatently not the best. We can blindly go along with the bullshit we are being fed and the rubbish we are being forced to watch or we can try to make it change somehow by doing something like staying away and hitting the club in the only place that make it notice it seems, the bank account.

If we want to compare notes on rubbish FA Cup trips, I was at Exeter City for the 2nd round tie in 2001 which finished 0-0 and which kicked off at 5:35pm on a Saturday for the TV That journey, and the one back, was an epic in itself. http://www.daggersfc.freeuk.com/Steve/Exeter/exeter.htm

That was a team that deserved my support though, and the replay is up there with the best performances by a Daggers team ever.

Did we do that the last time we were in a mess like this, no we did not we stuck loyal to the Manager and got behind the team. As I said periods during that run were it was worse , far far worse then what we are experiencing at the moment.

Nobody was shouting as loud as they are now for the Managers head, people would do a lot better putting posative energy rather then negative thoughts towards the team.

Poor bloke can't do right for wrong, the call not so long ago was to dump the journeymen and give hungry youngsters ago, Sunday he selected five players under 20 to play for us and their lack of experience contributed a lot to the defeat.

God only knows what ham scenes like Sunday are doing towards these kids, all I know is it ain't doing them any good
