My season ticket arrived last week. Surely the delay is with the post office and not the club but I dont understand why the smart season ticket card couldn't have been issued in the build up to the season and updated with individual choices of attending or streaming.
Mine arrived today, delay was definitely with the post office. Only getting weekly deliveries at the mo.
Look forward to it Saturday a new experience for all

Maybe they took the view that there was no point incurring the cost of printing and distributing season ticket cards before they knew supporters would be allowed back in?

Its going to be a very unusual experience I reckon with so many things missing, not really worried about safety at ground as believe it has been well looked into but a bit on edge moving around rail, buses and undergrounds again although can't imagine it would be as busy as this time last year but with people way laying into Christmas shopping up west could get me slightly on edge. But watching the daggers and seeing old faces again even from a distance is something I and I'm sure most of us here have missed heaps, five o clock and a good win be well worth it going home with the challenges again and opening up a pint at home!
You hit upon a point I want to go but if you say you cant have the choice and it has to be one or the other I.e attending or streaming then what happens if London and surrounding districts move upto tear three .
Hope the Club have arrangements to revert back because its fast becoming a possibility that Saturdays could be the first and only game for a while where fans can attend

Good point. I saw earlier that two thirds of London Boroughs have a rising infection rate. The Basildon area, just down the A13, is especially bad at the moment, with asymptomatic testing being offered, like in Liverpool a couple of weeks back. Hopefully, for everyone's sake, infection rates will fall but I've got an awful feeling that the great return from university (with stressed parents driving all over the country to get the youngsters back) coupled with Christmas mixing is going to get us into a third wave in January.

Also hockley what arrangements are in place for those unfortunate enough to developed symptoms between now and Saturday.
For modern tech it certainly has no end of faults that cant combat situations that could surely be foreseen.

It was made clear if you have a season ticket and you cant attend but fans are allowed that's unfortunate and the risk the supporter has taken. If it's tier 3 for games they will have no option but to revert.

You are correct Diggerdog they did email me , if I had missed the email I would have had no choice.
The bigger point has to be during a pandemic you would have thought it was in everybody's interest to persuade people not feeling right to stay away , not put financial interest in the way that may persuade them to take risks

Don't disagree, sure there could have been some flexibility but with the okey cokey going ahead with lockdowns it must be a nightmare to manage. Feel sorry for the ticket office lad.

Yes I suppose anyone with a season ticket could become ill in the normal course of events. We could be in the unusual situation of games going ahead with a crowd but some fans with season tickets who live in tier 3 areas not being able to travel out of that area to attend. (Say Dagenham East is in tier 2 but Essex in tier 3).That seems a bit rough, but I guess it hasn't happened yet. My son decided against a season ticket because he could see all sorts of issues this year - he was right! I decided not to because of the huge overlap with the 2021 cricket season - I'm a life member at Essex so I'll be there in April and May if crowds are allowed. The way our season is panning out I'm not really expecting much end of season excitement with the Daggers. I hope I'm wrong!

In my spare time I run a Social Club.
We have a two Bob card system to gain entry and allows Members to gain loyalty points.
We have nearly 700 Members , roughly the same amount of season tickets holders.
The cost of installing it was minimal in relative terms but I and others with the relevant authority can control it through a touch of a button, in fact I can do it by a smart phone.
So either there ain't the will or just like the original streaming system we invested in ain't fit for purpose.

Sussex, has your club managed to stay open with substantial Scotch Eggs or Spring Rolls?
My two CIU Working Mens Clubs in Tier 2 have stayed closed. One used to serve light basic meals for which there was never a great demand except for “Pie Friday” but was very busy with drinkers. The other club was mainly a “wet” club which would only serve food from outside caterers on Special Members or Club nights.

The club informed me that if someone has accepted their season ticket but then has to isolate, any decision to reinstate their stream would be at Thomos discretion. So possibly an email to the club in that case would result in them being helpful.
I guess the issue with the tech is more that one person can't manage possibly hundreds of requests per week to activate and deactivate streaming accounts. This is why I thought they should leave both and audit it after the fact.

No mate the only one doing any work is me. Like yours we are mainly just drinking Club.
With all this furlough and Grant's to apply for, along with all the other tax to process busier then normal with it.
One thing I am proud about is that all through this crisis we have payed all our staff 100% ,despite them not having to do a stroke.

Well done mate for all the extra work you have had to put in, my clubs have done exactly that. I feel for the elderly or single members of these clubs, many of whom attended maybe seven afternoons a week for some chat and banter and just to save them from staring at 4 walls all day with little or no opportunity to socialise elsewhere. Same applies to the little wet pubs, many will never recover from this.

My season ticket came through and I am delighted with the seat allocation.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at a distance. Wish I could hug you all, but that will have to wait.
Nice to see the Code of Conduct now officially prevents the usual suspects from pinching my chips!
