I see both points.
Adrian's point about Cureton is valid but extreme. Without Cureton, we'd have had a different striker who most likely wouldn't have scored as many but would have scored in places and helped us pick up points along the way. We'd have been a good few points fewer off without him though and more in the relegation battle.
Cousins has been superb but I feel we're highlighting that more because of the contrast between him and O'Brien. Doe and Ayo have both had excellent half seasons. Neither were here during the first half of the season, the real Doe wasn't anyway. Others like Bingham and Widdowson have also done superbly in this timeframe.
But over the course of the season, there has been one constant who has led the line and been a bright spark even during our toughest moments. And so without any doubt really, Cureton should be our POTS.
For the sake of an arguement

He really deserves it, apparently he's in the gym every or most days and eats really healthy. Real role model for the game and passionate for the sport. Made my mind up, JC it is.leewilson wrote:I see both points.

Football is about performing in both boxes - keeping them out at one end and scoring them at the other. Both equally as important as each other.
Cousins has without doubt surpassed everyone's expectations and is a certain improvement on Lewington.
Cureton has to get my vote for POTS though. Not only has he been fully fit for virtually the whole season - a feat in itself for a man of his age, but he has given 100% in every single game he's played, really seems like he gives an actual shit and has scored 17 goals whilst often playing up top on his own having to deal with long balls pumped up to him.
The epitomy of what makes a genuine professional footballer & we need to get him signed up for another year .... ASAP !!!
