If either keeper manages to earn us half the amount of points Lewy did over the course of a season I'll be happy.
I still think we'll miss Lewy more than Zavon. At this level you won't get a keeper who is good at everything, but I'd rather a great shot stopper who can't kick any day of the week.

Re: Ebbsfleet 4 Daggers 0
we still haven't got a decent striker who's fit, Everyone was moaning last year to give Goldberg a chance. I'd also be very happy if we sign Connell which looks likely a Stuey Thurgood figure in midfield Abu? Plus Howell does a pretty good job sitting deeper whilst Abu plays a more attacking role I...

Re: Ebbsfleet 4 Daggers 0
We all thought we were in trouble when we lost 3-0 at Luton one week before the season started, in a game where we didn't have a few trialists involved. Chill

I saw the Spanish trip as a waste of money until I found out that it was being largely funded through sponsors that wouldn't otherwise be putting money into the club.

I'm gutted he's gone, no way will we get a keeper who earns us as many points as he did.Mikins wrote:I must be the only one truly Sad Lewis gone.

Re: The Released Players Thread - Retained list in!
Opens the door for jake cole and thomas cruise like I said. Pleased theyre keeping, or negotiating new contracts with at least, goldberg, affy and hoyte. I'd be surprised if we signed Cruise. He played for us in a friendly a couple of summer's ago and didn't look anything special, so unless he'll s...

Re: Shades Of 2010?!?!?!
Did we really get 70 points when we went up? For some reason I had it in my head that we got 7th with 67 points..
We have got a chance, albeit a slim one. A loss next week and we're out of it, a draw would depend on other results. Either way it's been a successful season for us.

Re: Just a quick mention...
Definitely remember the last minute pen. But at the same time, I always remember that despite our bad luck that day with the penalty decision, we were rewarded at Swindon when Femi fouled one of their players in the box and the ref gave nothing when it was a stone wall penalty in the 90th minute or...

Looked to me that Luke meant that though..Daggers No 2 Fan wrote:It was a definite own goal - one of their players cleared it on to another and it looped in. Howell was no where near it after his initial shot.

Easy to forget but Lewy made a vital great save at 0-0 in the second half

Amazing own goal
Thought Doe, Hoyte, Abu and Dicko when he came on were fantastic today. Dickson changed the game and did alot more in ten minutes than Norris did in 80 today..

Re: Hypothetical Question Time
Going last time didn't work out particularly well and did more damage than good long term. Doing it again now could work out very badly - there are teams that have dropped quickly one they started - looks at clubs like Stockport and Hereford and the mess they're now in. Disagree entirely. We gave i...

Re: One word to describe that...
Was I the only one looking around after they scored trying to work out why Lewy was getting blamed and shouted at by quite a lot of fans? Medy (best player on the pitch) went straight to the tunnel after being subbed so was obviously injured. Chambers did quite well but often made the wrong decision...

Re: Mansfield.
After a poor start we improved as the game went on. Second half Murphy has 3 chances, 2 of which were very good chances, and Azeez (who has been useless in both of the last two games) has two great chances also. We did miss Hines, with him and Medy on the wings we would of created more, but we still...

Re: Bingham
I think our midfield next season will be Saunders, Bingham, Ogogo. The team will be a lot more capable of the passing style and that midfield is suited to it perfectly. (If all stay fit of course) On the rare occasions where both Billy and Matt have been fit and have been on the pitch together (usu...
