Matt Partridage v Lee Hughes
Are you happy to ignore this question? Lee Hughes - a man who did something very wrong with tragic results. No-one can excuse what he did, and no-one can fail to be appalled by his apparent lack of remorse. But however stupid and wrong his actions, he has never appeared to me to have shown any leani...

Re: The Released Players Thread
Eastleigh - now there is a club awaiting oblivion very soon. Trying to get league soccer when they could only muster 300 spectators last season. Histon, Hornchurch, Canvey, Grays, Brackley, Colne .....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Oh well, I hope their captain, Glen Southam makes a few bob before it all g...

Re: Season Tickets 2014/2015
I wouldn't have expected to renew next season, as I didn't this season. I will now. Excellent move by the club, albeit brave ..... I really hope they are rewarded with a good take up of people buying.

We are such a Pointless club
........ a friend of mine just phoned to tell me he is watching Pointless on TV, with the question "name a club from the top four tiers of English football?"
Only one "pointless" answer!

Also all three conference players, plus all the others from Leagues 1 and 2 are ................ oooops, sorry, forgot, we are not allowed to speak the truth in this country anymore.

Re: Kitman Bill in the Telegraph
Very nice article. Good to have an up-beat piece on the club.
Is it ever possible for a newspaper or BBC to do something that is correct? First game was away to Sheffield Wednesday, not live on TV ..... I don't recall Plymouth being in League 1 that season.

Re: I see old.....
For me I hope they stay in the conference because I just think of all the clubs who deserve to be in the league, Luton are not one of them. They broke rule after rule after rule for years, and according to clear FL regulations should have been thrown out ...... but they were given all the chances to...

Re: Scrap "Remembrance" at football.
.......... further to my original post, we now have another example of toe-curling tokenism with the silence/applause in respect of Nelson Mandela. All those years when we were waiting for him to be released from Robben Island and when he first became president of RSA I spent a lot of time reading a...

Just how stupid and gullible is the average football fan?
I only ask in the wake of the Hull City "the supporters can die as soon as they want" quote. Surely there can't be anyone so naive as to believe it was a misinterpretation. A lot of people are misinterpreted in the press, but in this case the owner has clearly said "it is my club, and...

Surely not!
Six weeks to transfer window and with the notable exception of Gayle we have not had to worry over the last few years as none of our side were really pulling up trees. But will that change now? Most of us are surprised at how well the team are doing now, and in most cases this is existing players wh...

I am coming to England from Rechitsa on 26th November .... just seen that tickets are available at AFCW for £10. At that price I am most certainly interested in getting from Gatwick at noon to Woodford Green and then back out to Kingsmeadow for 19.45 ..... it will be a tough call, especially as I wi...

Re: Humble Pie
I am a man who is always right!!!!!!! But I have to confess I am absolutely delighted to have been proved so utterly and completely wrong about Wayne Burnett. To be honest the club were getting worse and worse during the days of Cusack and Chatty Man's dad, and I was very unhappy that Ted Hardy was ...

F A Cup
Am I the only one who mourns how lowly the FACup has now become. It seems to be regarded as little more than the Johnstone Pants Trophy. Despite the bribery of very cheap tickets Bristol City could only muster a third of their usual crowd on Saturday. If that had been 20 years ago the crowd would ha...

Scrap "Remembrance" at football.
So we had the nonsense of a period of silence before the game on saturday (and all games). What a nonsense ..... let's scrap it. For the record I am a great believer in the importance of Remembrance Day, and was at church yesterday where a large part of the service was devoted to remembering the sol...
