Re: Is Rhys Murphy a Price Worth Paying
And we've just fired two strikers and hired a loanee and crocked him. If we don't sign a replacement we'll be in deep shit by the end of the season, those contracts won't be worth squat if people don't want to play for us. Either way it needs to be good striker out *good * striker in. No donkeys ple...

Re: Zavon Hines
Does anyone else feel he has a touch of the Adebayor about him? when he has something to prove he's excellent, but once that points proved hes happy to just coast by. hence why a short term deal is best for both parties, if he was still here next season because no one came in for him, who says he wo...

Re: Brian Woodall
If I'm honest things went wrong at the end of his first season - and I can largely pinpoint why from personal observations, he was living with Jake Reed and lucky to be in the team due to the injury crisis we had and was working his arse off to stay there, close season he moved his girlfriend in wit...

Ha! What a difference a few months makes. Who'd have thought we'd be disappointed in victory after the last couple of seasons? ^_^

Re: Dave Andrews
Here's just hoping the new Dave will be as great a servant to the club as Dave Andrews was. Enjoy your retirement Dave, you've certainly earned it from my point of view. :)

Re: Brian Woodall
What a strange outlook on life. Everybody who kills anyone accidentally should be banged up for life or at least not working. I wonder how much your pay packet would suffer under the former? Not being paid more than all of us to be a footballer. that would be acceptable in my eyes, but then clubs d...

Re: Humble Pie
Oh i assume he's looking on and thinking "I still cant be arsed signing up to defend myself" either way I was prepared to give Wayne the benefit of the doubt and im more than happy that we havent suffered from losing our scouting network, but we've defied stillys old theory that we cant ge...

Re: F A Cup
its lost its magic as theres so few giant killings anymore. even the betting companies have given up offering ludicrous odds on matches, Daventry were only 7/1 to beat chesterfield. i think 70/1 would have been more realistic. also the draws are rather dull, by the time the prem teams come in at mos...

Re: Rhys Murphy
On a Rhys related note I just stuck a tenner on him to be top scorer this season, hes now at a very reasonable 12/1.
Mind you i also stuck a couple of quid on us to win the league at 100/1 ^_^

Re: Wayne Barnet
My serious point amongst all my Still bashing remains that he was pretty dire for his last 3,definately 2 seasons with us.I was not the only person calling for his head during that period. He should have gone after league 1 relegation with his head held high.Instead he subjected us to quite a bit of...

Re: "Football Clubs Banning Local Papers"
Didnt something similar happen with Bournemouth last season? I'm sure their previous manager had a row about a bad match report and "overly critical reviews" and banned the local rag from interviews or even attending games, unsurprisingly after he got sacked that went out the window when H...
