Re: Tamplin has pulled out?

I'm also up for buying at least £200 of shares. It's like the Buy a Brick scheme (Alan's successful idea) only this time you will really own a piece of the club! I merely copied the idea from other clubs where it had worked, I won't take credit for coming up with the idea. I also copied the idea of...

Re: Tamplin has pulled out?

I'm told it's true, he pulled out.

Board consider the consortium bid is too low (remember, they were offering 200k for 51%, Tamplin was offering 1.25m for 80%)

There will now be an EGM to consider moving to a limited company with shares rather than limited by guarantee.

Re: Viking Chant

Heard the French try to do it and it sounded crap. I'm sure some English clubs fans will try it for a while.

Tamplin has pulled out?

Re: Consortium UPDATE

Anyone going down to stand outside the club with VOTE GOODWIN banners,or do we think most of our members are of sound body and mind to make the right choice. And if they do make the wrong choice then me thinks they're gonna get dogs for letting us all down and selling our club down the river. I'd of...

Re: Consortium UPDATE

Does anyone actually know how much money the consortium now have to put up? Gerry Hanning mentioned pledges that would more than double the 200k, so I would be interested to know what they now have. The Tamplin bid values 51% of the club at 796k, so the consortium really need to come up with more th...

Re: Consortium UPDATE

I realise you weren't disagreeing, but there are people who will read this thread and not necessarily understand that there's a bit more to it than what people are posting, so I was elaborating.

Re: Consortium UPDATE

Yes, somebody read the business accounts and equated the 98k assets of that company to his personal wealth, which is like looking at the accounts of BHS and concluding that Philip Green is skint. The company and the man's personal wealth are completely separate. For example, he owns the premises and...

Re: Consortium UPDATE

Is this informal meeting on Wednesday open to non-members then? And they publicly said what he was worth because of the people on here saying that he was worth £98k. So I'm guessing they were trying to show him to be more credible than what he was being made out to be. Nobody on here knows what he'...

Re: Consortium

A couple of things worry me here, after the awful close of the season things looked certainly far brighter a week or two later with a couple of 'jewels' bought back and eight other new players joining, things were looking up and hopefully still will, quite concerned this could 'rock the boat' now a...

Re: Club Statement at last

Technically what is the difference between 80% control and 51% control isn't it still control? Whilst well aware of previous sugar daddy disasters I would still like to keep an open mind on all three bids 51% shareholding gives you an ability to pass ordinary resolutions. 75% gives you the ability ...

Re: Club Statement at last

Ok, if you're worth £45m you won't mind paying the £1.25m now up front. If you only want to put in 250k this year, you only get 16% this year.

Frankly, I'm not bothered about being a top 5 club if it means losing the club.

Re: Membership of Club

Clarified with Tommo. Any season ticket holder can apply to be a member. They do not want any camp to pack the voting. I suggested that anyone who had a season ticket last year should be allowed to join, but don't let any new season ticket applicants join as they are not yet season ticket holders. T...
