Re: Bingham
Depends which Gutteridge turns up as to whether I would miss him. The one at the beginning of the season that got some key goals and could put in a few good passes would be a loss. The one that came back from injury towards the end of the season who just seemed to run around shouting at other player...

Re: Bingham
More ex dagger news. James Dunne, who had a reasonably decent loan spell with us a few years ago has been released by Cambridge.

Re: New signings? Renewed contracts? Released list?
Is Widdowson perfect no. Is he better than a lot of people we have had trying to fill a Scott Griffiths shaped hole at LB I would say so yes. Only guys that came close were Irish, who to me was a winger who could make a tackle rather than an out and out LB, and Femi who would be premiership one min ...

Re: FGR Home First leg Match Thread
FGR have only lost twice at home this season, only Lincoln have a better home record (fewer draws) so I would prefer to see us get a solid lead over them tonight and destroy their morale rather than having to rely on getting a result away.

Re: Must watch
Well it starts a bit like the John Still rant from the 90s just a little more unhinged. Then the song begins and it gets odder and the less said about the gospel pastor style rant (that he seems to need a crib sheet to remember to tell players to win their battles) the better. Hes lost one game in c...

Re: Player of the year.
My top 3 are Whitley, Bouchard and Fejiri. Its hard to believe 2 of them were playing Ryman level football before moving here, they have settled into the league like they have been playing it for years and all 3 of them are missed when they are out of the squad. Firm handshakes for Hawkins, Robson, ...

Re: Hawkins
If I remember rightly Fey could barely walk after the tackle that led to his bad leg injury and was told to see if he could run it off. Look at the amount of injuries where they are suppose to be off for just a few weeks and end up spending months out of the game if they are ever seen again. The amo...

Re: Lincoln game on TV
We were terrible but Lincoln were hardly playing like potential champions. Poor match for everyone to see.

Re: Run in.
There are some handy matches for other teams that could help us out too (looking at league position rather than form). This weekend - Dover v Gateshead 11th Apr - Tranmere v FGR 14th Apr - Tranmere v Aldershot 17th Apr - Gateshead v Lincoln, Aldershot V Dover 29th Apr - Barrow V Dover I feel a bit m...

Re: Worst Ever Player
I would possibly say almost every loanee that has ever played for us in the last 10 odd years. There are some great ones (Richie, Baudry, JMD) but this club takes in what feels like 10 odd loans every year and we are lucky if we have one worth remembering the name of.

Scrolling down the BBC Sportsday page today and I see that Mark Wright is about to buy 20% of Billericay. Feels to me like another bullet dodged.

Re: FGR Reaction
If you had told me before the game we would not only win but for the majority of the match be the better side I would have probably laughed at you. Great performance by us especially in midfield. Bouchard, Robson and Whitely stole the show in a pretty good performance by all of us. If I had to say a...

Re: Ollie news/speculation
The same article has made the Evening Standard. If Brighton sign him then Hawkins could well be a Premiership footballer next season, that's a strange thought. Almost as strange as Matty Cash playing in the Bundesliga.

Re: 1 year ago today
From what I remember of the match we held our own and played alright without really looking like causing an upset. Get the feeling if Everton had taken the game seriously (considering they had Pienaar, Lennon, Mirallas and Kone in their starting 11) they would have thumped us. A brilliant day out.
