Re: New poll on ownership

I merely made the point to show the positive benefit that Tamplin has received from providing information about his proposals - and the guarantees, of course - and I still think that the way forward is for both sides to publish their business plan, which might then see further movement from one side...

Re: New poll on ownership

We are now at 40 replies, the same number of responses received in the last poll, so I'm going a bit election night here. In the first poll (and some people said this one was loaded), the question posed was "should the club sell its soul to Tamplin", there were 6 votes for Tamplin, 15 don'...

Re: New poll on ownership

Out of interest, how did you investigate tamplin's personal creditworthiness and have you done the same with all members of all bidding factions?

The vote above is of course on the premise that all monies are subject to guarantees.

Re: WHU u/23s

Doesn't it depend on the terms of the agreement with West Ham? For example, do they pay us a rent and they get gate receipts?

Both sides have changed their bids as time has gone on. The Easts are going to have to revise theirs again now they've had a member "defect". Both have improved their bids. Is that really a problem?

Re: New poll on ownership

Might still be waiting for legal advice on the procedure for transferring the assets and capital gains tax implications. They do need to crack on with it, get the bidders to submit their final bids and plans then hold the EGM. The delay is really unhelpful.

Re: New poll on ownership

So which creditor is forcing us into administration? Who do we currently owe money too? As far as I can see we have the loan for the stand the council won't force it, and the wage bill hey won't force it. Some of you are gullible to say the least. We go back to your previous complaints about late p...

Re: New poll on ownership

Is like to see both sides' business plans and then analyse them. I know nothing about the business backgrounds or personalities of anyone other than what I've read. The Easts I think one is in investment banking and the other property? I don't know what the goodwins do or what Dave Ward or the forme...

Re: New poll on ownership

Diggerthedog, I don't understand why the cash flow and inability to pay tax without a loan is now nonsense and a red herring, when you were quite adamant about it in this thread a few weeks ago.

Re: New poll on ownership

Considering the 80% deal evidently no longer exists, this poll is about as effective as Leon Braithwaite trying to work out where the ball is after he's headed it. Completely loaded questions here, which isn't the point of something that's looking for people to give an opinion. Having said that, I'...

Re: New poll on ownership

I don't understand. Both sides have said we have needed outside money to pay our debts. If that's true, our options are one of the bidders or stay as we are and not be able to pay our debts unless we sell assets and if we still can't pay, go into administration.

Re: New poll on ownership

If you cannot pay your debts when they fall due then you are insolvent. The poll is based on what we have been told in the interviews. Both sides have said that we are insolvent - Goodwin said we had to borrow money to pay the tax - others have confirmed we had to loan money from one of the board to...

The poll was also pre Tamplin saying he would drop below 50% and guarantee the money. So I've started a new poll.

New poll on ownership

Ok, so we had a poll before Mike's interview. We have a bit more information, so lets do it again.

There's no shades of yes or no, you have to vote East/Tamplin or stay as we are based on what we know through the various interviews.

Re: Glenn Tamplin Interview

I love the references and comparisons in here - "successful businessman", comparing him to very successful men such as Dave Whelan etc. This is a man that has overseen the dissolution of at least three companies carrying a large amount of debt, and is currently the director of only one ac...
