Re: Instead.

Chris Powell has made his money as a player and seems hungry to succeed, it's a chance to restore his reputation again as a manager and move back to London, seems like a genuinely nice bloke and has achieved in the game. Ticks all the boxes for me.

Re: Prediction v Plymouth

I'm going for a 0-0 bore draw but I'll happily take a point at the moment. I'd pick the following team.

Cousins

Passley, Ayo, Clevid, JC

Mulraney, Labadie, Raymond, Hemmings (c)

Jones

Vassell.

Assuming Raymond is fit.

Re: Currie

Why?

I agreed with a lot of what he said. I thought we more than matched a side that will be top 3 come the end of the season and were only undone by a bit of genuine quality.

A horribly dull 1-0 defeat in arctic temperatures.

Re: Good to see the Youth Team not affected

Also the 500k that it costs the Club is heavily subsidised by FA funding owing to the status granted, a status that many tried but very few acheived. Wrong! Thommo said at the last fans forums that we have to find £500k ourselves every season to fund the academy. I'm sure he said last year that we ...

Re: Good to see the Youth Team not affected

Saw a bit of the kids in the squad friendlies during the summer.

Hackett's kid has a lot of pace and looks alright at that level.

Burnett's kid seems to play a Boucaud type game of playing a lot of 5 yard sidewards passes.

Staying up this season is worth an extra £750k next season according to Thommo.

Re: Thoughts for Saturday

I'm going.

Not too fussed about the result or team though, I'd rather we prioritised the next 2 games. Better chance of Wembley through the JPT and points in the league are a must at the moment.

Re: Well done the board

Is this the same Accrington that have just attracted new investment?

A question that was put to Dave Bennett at the last fans forum which he coughed and spluttered over until Thompson took the mic from his hands and done his usual patronising spiel.
