Re: Whos Glass is half empty Whos Glass is half full

Half full for an optimist, half empty for a pessimist so half full for me!! As has been said March is huge & we really need 3/4 wins preferably against teams down at the bottom, saying that lots of other Clubs will also feel this way!!

Re: will we get sucked into relegation fight

Although we look to be in a relatively secure 13th place we are just 3 points above Accrington in 22nd - astonishing, it really is so tight down there. It makes you wonder how many points will guarantee safety this year, 54? Remember Peterboro' went down from the Championship with 54 last year &...

Re: when john still returns

I was also among the '12' at Runcorn back in the day as well as being 1 of the 6 who went to Halifax on a Friday night followed by a truly awful 5-0 thrashing at Stalybridge on the Sunday morning (also 1 of the 6 who went to Morecambe on a cold wet Saturday in Feb the year we went down from the Conf...

Re: RIP Bill

A great servant to the Club doing the kind of job that Clubs like us rely on people like him to do. RIP Bill & condolences to his family.

Re: when john still returns

He will get a respectful return, most of us will remember the good things he did for the Club but doubtless a few will barrack him ,equally many will remember how he left us under something of a cloud. To be fair he has done well so far @ LTFC but with their apparent riches no surprise.

Re: Official website originality

[quote="DagenHammer87"]It's almost as bad as the newspapers in Hot Fuzz. I'm sure we've borrowed their main journo - that website is sometimes the first encounter a person will have with the club - supporter or not and time after time there's typo's, grammatical errors, symbols instead of ...

Re: Time to change the admission model?

Perhaps they could try something along the lines of Hartlepool ie a cheaper ST which saw their average gate really shoot up a couple of years ago although it has steadily gone back down since (just like their team!),alternatively Bradford have previously done a ST for £100 (not sure if they still do...

Re: Playoffs

You normally need at least 70 points to have play off hopes so we need 34 from 18 games approx. 2 pts per match, say 10 more wins.Possible but not necessarily probable, we need a good run pdq.

Re: Goole captain attacking fans

Horrendous conduct by the player, good to see Goole have sacked him instantly as his conduct is totally out of order. Maybe a few PL Clubs could learn from this as to how to discipline players who misbehave.

Re: Any idea?

I maintained for years that under JS when we pulled everyone back it was totally negative, as I have always said if you leave 1 up they will leave 2 back etc etc. Pulling all 11 back is a negative gesture I would say, possibly only justified when we are defending a lead late on or a draw.

Re: Transfer rumours

Aaron McLean - Was a reasonable striker not so long ago, never liked him because he was too arrogant amongst other things & feigned injury(very badly) against us more than once. Bradford are taking a hell of a gamble with him as he hasn't done much for a while now!

Re: Josh Gone

Kidderminster? You cannot be serious!! He isn't anywhere near good enough for Kiddie, he had one good season culminating in one great match & that's about it, I always said he wasn't up to it even accepting his bad luck with injuries - he just wasn't good enough!!

Re: Kitman Bill in the Telegraph

An interesting article, I noticed the Plymouth error as well (typical BBC re the lower Divisions though).Bit of a sarcastic comment after it by 'The unbiased Man', he could have been a bit more gracious for a fine Club servant!
