Re: Andre Boucaud

Thought my post was pretty clear... Hey ho... Other players have been signed on mediocre pre season games... Boucard played two excellent games... The comparison with other signings is perfectly relevant. Again the lower league issue is a misnomer as his most recent club played him 49 times last se...

Re: No answer?

I dont think you will find a single person on here who has tried to make it we are "completely blameless" In addition, its a bit rich you making assumptions regarding people making or not making supposed telephone calls when unless im wrong you were the biggest criticiser of people believ...

Re: Andre Boucaud

Not certain we can simultaneously complain we have too many centre mids whilst wondering how players will get in the squad that aren't fit or continually injured... The guy is better than what we have at what he does so how can it be a problem? We wouldn't have got the bloke in if we couldn't affor...

Re: No answer?

Funny enough that's the same article I read, Our club obviously spoke to someone connected with the club and also followed the correct procedure, according to their chairman's statement, in making initial enquiries about the player. Maybe there are one or two half truths by both clubs but I doubt i...

Re: No answer?

If you read the interview in the Post, Wayne is reported as having said that he had asked (a third party I presume) if the player was available on a free otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford him before inviting him down for a trial. The interview goes on to say "he even" (the player) s...

Re: No answer?

Is he out of contract? According to this he is http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-doidge/profil/spieler/255353 If it's wrong and he was under contract, then: a) why did we think we'd get him for nothing? b) we shouldn't have been talking to him about signing before agreeing terms with his clu...

Re: No answer?

Now the carmarthen town manager released a letter saying we were the one to mess up negotiations. Why do I feel this isn't the last we've heard of this problem The last paragraph clearly shows they are the ones trying to get more money for him by getting him trials to bigger clubs *apparently*. But...

Re: No answer?

According to other Welsh websites they are still smarting that Justin Edinburgh turned down the chance to sign Doidge. http://welsh-premier.com/index.php/latest-news/6542-doidge-move-to-dagenham-hits-the-rocks I doubt very much that there was any fault with how our club conducted itself in the matt...

Re: No answer?

I would think we did check with them? They seem quite encouraging on their twitter, wishing him good luck and tweeting when he's scored for us. He also had a trial at Newport, did they tap him up aswell? He's obviously said he wants to try his luck in football league, and they have accepted that, j...

Re: No answer?

So all you disappointed fans out there ask yourself this Do you pay 20k for him and his wages or do you offer that 20k to somebody like Hines in additional wages over two years? I know what I would have. Given that an unproven player like Doidge wouldn't command much in the way of wages I doubt a c...

Re: No answer?

Seems really unprofessional for the CHAIRMAN to not get back to a team interested in a player I'd say the unprofessional thing is talking to a player about signing without checking his status with his club first. If he's under contract, then are we not effectively tapping him up? Something which I'...

Re: Daggers Number 1 ....

Handling the ball outside the area in 2 pretty much consecutive games also sticks out. The incidents to which you refer were in August and February. If you're going to dig out a player about the same old things at least have some idea of what you're actually talking about. Strangely he went on to p...
