Re: Farewell Luke

An opinion isn't any less crap just because its an opinion.[/quote]

How true, but it doesn't stop certain posters reverting to name calling & insults just because your opinion differs from theirs!!

Re: Luis Suarez...

Yesterday proved once again what a cynical ,cheating animal (an insult to many real animals) Suarez is , not only that he then went down clutching his face trying to pretend that Chiellini had hit him ' which he hadn't. Replays do show clearly that he bit the Italian (Chiellini has the mark on his s...

Re: You do realise...

I believe some are touting for Venables to be made England coach again - No Thank You!! He has some good ideas but his career record isn't that great & with all the advantages in Euro '96 still couldn't win the Tournament, to be fair we were superb v Holland, but to balance that were poor v Swit...

Re: You do realise...

In a few weeks the PL will return & most fans will have forgotten about the World Cup fiasco & won't be bothered about England very much as their Clubs matter to them so much more. There will be a lot of talk, opinions ventured, solutions offered etc none of which however sensible & well...

Re: Hereford expelled

Sad but inevitable I suppose. I can see them actually folding completely soon, the town won't then have any sport to follow as the Racetrack closed down a year or so ago & I don't think they have any decent Rugby teams nearby.

Re: Worst ever dagger

Matt Jones wasn't actually the worst ever player in terms of ability as he had a lot but he was a lazy player who could & should have contributed a lot more than he actually did, he was frustrating to watch no question & his attitude was also not what it should have been at times. The worst ...

Re: croooks promoted

He surely shouldn't have been allowed near a Football Club ever again after what he did, convicted Directors are normally banned from running businesses again & so should he have been.

Re: This could be fun

IIRC with the Boston business the FL/FA, whoever it was, spent ages faffing about & finally decided with just 3 weeks to go to the start of the new season which inevitably was far too late to change anything as fixtures for all Leagues had been sorted for weeks. Bristol Rovers do look to have a ...

Incredible loyalty

A bit off track but next week Javier Zanetti retires as an Inter player after over 850 appearances & having been with them since 1995, he will be 41 in August & has been a shining example as a player through thick & thin, mostly thin at Inter in his earlier years, but he has gained a num...

Re: This is worrying

What I found astonishing is that Greg Dyke came up with his proposals without even bothering to consult the Conference clubs who will be directly affected by any proposed Div 3 with at least half the Clubs effectively pushed another layer down the system through no fault of their own. I would have t...

Re: Home/Away Form Comparison

This has happened with us a lot over the years, I think it has to do with pressure on us to perform at home whereas away the pressure is on the home side thus making it easier for us to counter attack. Silly as it sounds even a relatively small crowd such as ours can put a team under pressure meani...

Re: End of season presentation / party

I'd echo what Auntie Merge said, the only freebie I ever got was when along with, I think 15 others, we went by Minibus to Yeovil on a cold Wednesday night in early Dec (first year at New Huish Park, we had to walk across a frozen field to get to the nearest Pub!!), JS gave all of us Complimentary t...
