Re: Charlton

Chambers had possibly his best ever game for us last night, drifting into spaces between the lines and making things happen. This is what Jodie needs to do when he plays on the right. I think Chambers deserves to play, so stick him behind JC, with Hemmings and Jodie wide, but with the option of Jodi...

Re: The underdog spirit

It was an easy night for Charlton in fairness, but then again they are two leagues higher than us. Five of our team who will undoubtedly start against orient were on the bench. Doidge must start on Saturday, he showed more in twenty minutes than McClure has in two matches! Jodi was once again our s...

Re: Prediction v Pompey

I'm not overly concerned. We need some legs in midfield but hopefully Raymond can bring that, with McClure dropping a bit deeper whilst we're getting overrun. Nyron and Partridge didn't let us down despite some nervy moments. The goals were silly errors, not the result of Pompey's league 1 players c...

European tour

Who on here is out to Holland this weekend then?
4 of us are flying out Friday evening, the Stratumseind road in Eindhoven looks like the best bet pre and post match, plenty of pubs and bars.

Yeah he didn't seem to be enjoying himself as he was soaked in that thing! Our Mexican sombreros and ponchos kept us much dryer :)

Re: Well done Mr Burnett.

Doesn't matter if you're young or old, if you've been a fan 50 years or 5 minutes, if you're going to have a go at the manager and then be offended when he has a go back then you probably need to grow up a little bit. No idea what happened as I was stood on the terrace behind the goal, but I comple...

Re: West Ham announcement

We do ask the FL to schedule our home games for when West Ham are away, but there is no deal and they are entitled to change it

Re: Poor old Lewy

Twitter reports suggest he was at fault for a couple of goals but also made a few excellent saves to keep the score down. He certainly wouldn't of been bored

Re: How did JC miss that?

Agreed the touch was outstanding, maybe he assumed the keeper would be right on him so just stuck a toe on it before having a chance to look up?

After all he's done for us we can't jump on one miss, let's face it anyone else wouldn't of controlled it well enough to shoot

Yep I'll be getting mine too. Less than 9 pounds a game plus a tenner of the home shirt that I'd be buying anyway. No complaints from me.

Also let's not forget that Wilkinson was shocking whenever he played last season. He wanted to leave and was proving to be no use whatsoever. Can't go blaming Wayne for that one!

Re: Plymouth on Tuesday

As mentioned by a couple of people previously, Yusuff has never played/trained full-time before, and I would imagine that the physical demands can take some getting used to. A month off over the summer before a solid pre-season could work wonders. I too hope Ade kicks on and stakes a claim to be in ...

Re: Poor

I thought it was a good game for 45 minutes during which we matched them (barring a couple of defensive lapses and a wonder strike. O'Brien didn't stand a chance with that one!), however you hear alot about how conceding a goal just before or just after half-time is the hardest to take. We managed t...
