Re: Daggers Number 1 ....

Not at all rather have Players who want to play for us. As far as I am aware Lewington wanted to go. If I am wrong then it is obvious Wayne did not rate him as highly as some, either way I am not fussed. For every outstanding piece of goalkeeping I can give you a howler aka Exeter. No good looking ...

Re: JPT

The number of teams entering doesn't fit into a straight knockout, so there are some byes in the first round every season. As its 16 teams every season, it probably sums up our success with cup draws that its taken as long as it has to get a bye.

Re: Ashley Hemmings

Seemed very similar to Chambers to me.
Took his goal well, but I don't remember him really doing much else on Saturday.

Still, lets see how he gets on.

Re: Colchester

It's hard to judge either keeper much on yesterday.
Of all the keepers, I only remember one real save, and that was Lewington from a Saah header. Otherwise they all had little to do - no crosses to deal with, few shots to save.
Kicking wise, O'Brien didn't strike me as any better than Lewington.

Re: Colchester

Bit disappointed Goldberg doesn't seem to be getting any starts in the first team friendlies. He keeps making little cameos off the bench but the fact he's not starting suggests to me that perhaps Wayne doesn't see him as a league striker yet. Cureton being rested or rotated out today was the ideal...

Re: Colchester

Agree about Goldberg but if there was is a chance of us signing Porter or Hemmings then both had to start today. Hemmings, Porter and Goldberg up front would have meant we had three players all about 4ft 10 up front. Didn't we have pretty much that up front anyway? Chambers isn't exactly 6ft 6. Gol...

Re: Colchester

We took our goals well. Of the goals we conceded, the first was the standard one we seem to give away from corners. Two of them didn't really make the two keepers look too good. Boucard is a weird one. Released despite playing a lot of games last year, but then prior to notts county he'd spent quite...

Re: Hoyte likely to sign

Who's said he's rubbish? Would you be excited if we were to re-sign him?? Oh, bless. You're still hanging on to my comment about signing Chambers not being exciting. Why is it that you don't keep on at the other posters who reacted in a similar way? It's nice that you're so desperate for my attenti...

Re: Hoyte likely to sign

Note to self:
When making a general point about the way some on this forum have reacted to players leaving, be a little more obvious about it being a general point in order to avoid confusion.

When sexual assault is the highlight of a game, that doesn't bode well for the season.

Re: Hoyte likely to sign

That's not how it works. He's decided to not sign for us, and so was always rubbish really, and even though he was rubbish he's a tosser for not wanting to stay.

Unless he changes his name to Zavon Hines.

Re: Hoyte likely to sign

Maybe he just didn't want to play under Burnett. It feels like he isn't the only one.

Has Batt played a friendly yet? Can't say I've noticed him in any line ups.

Re: Ebbsfleet 4 Daggers 0

Like I said, it's poor but it happens in pre season. I can't comment on Ebbsfleet as I don't know their team situation. Anyway, I'm not defending us as our players SHOULD be performing to a higher standard and they have probably got a rocket from the manager for this. But in terms of it affecting o...

Re: Ebbsfleet 4 Daggers 0

4-0 to a team two divisions below and with a strongish side, isn't a bad result. It's ridiculous.

I'm not sure what it being early has to do with it. It's the same for Ebbsfleet, but it sounds like they knew what they were doing.

Re: Matt Partridage v Lee Hughes

I can't say I'm impressed with us signing Partridge. His previous actions certainly don't fit with what I think our club stands for, but then maybe our club doesn't stand for what it used to? People do stupid things, and anyone can make a mistake. I have no issue with people making mistakes getting ...
