Re: Gay players coming out
According to a story I read a couple of weeks ago, a survey of football fans showed that 8% would stop watching their team if one of the players came out as gay. Although I wholly agree that players shouldn't have to come out if they don't want to, it's seems clear they don't feel in a position to ...

Re: Line Up v Eastleigh
Ben McNamara, last of Braintree. Signed on Friday as cover. No idea whether this means Justham has an injury.

Re: Eastleigh
I thought we actually looked the better team today over the whole 90 minutes. When you concede two goals to leave yourselves behind at half time though, then it's going to be an uphill task to win from there. We didn't start the second half at all well either, I was actually a bit concerned that hea...

Re: Delete this... if u must!
I don't get to go to anything like the number of games I'd like to, but it didn't take long to realise who the select few were that either get thrown out or on the verge of it at so many games. Let's face it, 4 stewards was it today for the main stand? If they had the level of staffing the chances a...

Eastleigh
Following two wins from two, we travel to Eastleigh on Saturday. Some debate at how convincing those wins were but a solid win here would put the majority of that to rest for now I expect! I will be driving up to see this one, first of the season. Looks like a dodgy route from down south, best part ...

Re: Darren Deadman
Deadman has had some truly awful displays in the past. I'll never forget hearing prior to our 2-2 draw against Newport two seasons ago that Deadman was the ref, and Brett Huxtable as fourth official. Actually tuned out to be not the worst reffing performance, but still one moment I felt their strike...

Re: Boreham wood
I hope we're not set for another season of people getting on players', particularly Hawkins' back. He played less than 30 minutes of the first game of the new season yesterday, give him a break. Whilst I concur his second half season wasn't as good as the first, he also was in and out with injuries....

Re: Goalkeepers
Interestingly I've thought (also based on highlights only) that Justham has made some top saves - however, as you highlight also let a cheap one or two in. Then again, think I recall Cousins dropping one in a recently friendly too?

Re: Oliver Hawkins SHOCK NEWS UPDATE !
No new contract, but Ollie played today. Looks increasing likely that this was overblown to say the least. Much more at-ease over this now. http://www.barkinganddagenhampost.co.uk/sport/football/dagenham-and-redbridge/dagenham-redbridge-boss-john-still-insists-valuation-has-not-been-met-for-striker-...

Re: Oliver Hawkins SHOCK NEWS UPDATE !
I visit several forums and this kind of post is usually what you see from muppets making their first post trying to stir things up. I honestly hope that this is the same again, though you've posted here previously so I'm a little more curious than I might usually be. Like most of us I expect, I hope...

Re: Bowers & Pitsea FC friendly 18th July
Team sheet reads: Cousins, Ling, Pennell, Doe, Gordan, Rees, Hyde, Romain, Mongoy, Bloomfield, White Subs: Louie Chapman, James McCluskey, Harvey Brown, Charlie Holmes, Mike Fomdop, Paul Symes Interestingly I was watching Mike Fomdop in a trial match recently for Torquay. Scored two goals in a game ...

Re: Bedford Town
Indeed. Following Twitter, 2 different XIs playing 45 minutes each. Bondz being the exception and playing both halves. After Bedford went 2 up shortly after HT, Ferrier tapped in a rebounded Bloomfield shot and Okenabirhie with the equaliser. Can't see any mention of Romain in either XI or as a sub....

Re: Will Oliver Hawkins be leaving
Nothing definite by any stretch of the imagination. But few Portsmouth fans on one of their boards saying bids they have placed for two players have been accepted. No names but a couple feel Hawkins could well be one of them.

Re: 2017/18 Predictions
On paper, I think we can all agree that the squad will likely look stronger going into this season than the previous season. My hopes for last season was top 5 & promotion via play-offs. This season it'd make sense to be very optimistic, some very promising attacking talent coming in and kept ho...
