Re: Shock news

The transfer fee was £35K (yes that's right £35K not £350K) according to my source at Coventry. Not sure if there is a sell on in the contract but I bloody hope so! Please tell me this is not true. It isn't true. Hi Alan - how do you know that? I'm honestly not trying to be facetious and am just as...

Didn't the same guy also say it was a free transfer a little while ago? Yep - true enough but I don't understand why it is 'undisclose...

Re: Fans Forum

Absolutely agree with DTD. 1. The job would presumably be advertised in the same way as any similar position at a reasonably sized company would be with the best candidate selected. 2. I'm sure he does "do his best" in the same way Wayne Burnett did but never forget both were and are paid...

Re: Fans Forum

Just out of genuine curiosity, who do you want to resign from the board, and who would you replace these people with?? Presumably the two people most seem to believe are responsible are Dave the Plumber and Thommo?? So in the case of Thommo, he is in a paid position I believe as CEO. Do you think t...

Jodi Jones free transfer

My mate Smudge, an avid Coventry fan, is convinced that they have now signed Jones on a permanent free transfer. I am insisting that we wouldn't be stupid enough to let him go without a fee having put him on a contract here last year but he is having none of it. Does anyone know anything about it?

Re: Pompey Have Sold Out

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about here. Redbridge Forest used to get outnumbered at the Vic if the away support reached double figures back in the day. :D :D :D

Re: great start

Are we allowed to give up early and just declare ourselves down? Perhaps we can then start a nice long summer holiday and worry about this nonsense in August.

Re: What a waste of money....

Other than the fact that he seems to be made of glass! Now maybe, but when we offered him the new deal? He played 33 games for Bradford the season before he signed for us, and played pretty much every game for us up until he got seriously injured in that training match with Cambridge in March(ish)....

Re: York City Match - All Together

Agree with a lot of this but if you want an example of how a bit of energy, enthusiasm and hard tackling by the team can inspire the crowd to get lively then look no further than the 2nd half of the Wycombe game a few weeks back. Fans need to be inspired (unless they are Geordies who happily support...

All credit to anyone who is going tonight. Quite frankly if this mob were playing in my back garden at the moment I would probably draw the curtains. Loyal daggers - the Duke salutes you!

Infamous Daggers

Not wishing to be too controversial but now we are so close to achieving it I wonder if there might be some kudos in going the whole season without winning at home in the league. It might give us a bit of notoriety and a few mentions in the media! Also surely there is some credibility in supporting ...

Re: The Journey Is Nearly Over

If you are going to blame Thommo for everything you also have to praise him for the years he did it right. Yep - sorry I was just being mischievous, hence the winking face. Whatever flaws Thompson has as a person (and they have been well documented on this site recently) he has done some incredible...

Re: The Journey Is Nearly Over

So unless there is now a sudden and totally unexpected upturn in form, our 9th season in the Football League will be our last for now. People will no doubt be debating how it has ended like this, and how we go about trying to move forward again, but I think people should take a moment to look at wh...
