Re: Get in!!!

Superb result yesterday in what was overall a pretty poor match. Conditions didn't help again, but it seems like we love playing in the rain. Lewy had another stormer, that save he made in the first half from a Dale header was as good as he's made all season. Well taken goal from us, although it sho...

Re: Crowd

I think the club still miss out a lot with the crowds where social media is concerned, primarily with the 50p game next week. I remember when Brentford were doing something similar they made a hashtag up and promoted it like that, think at one stage it was trending which is obviously the best sort o...

Re: Time For Action Football League

Saw a picture of their pitch and one half is fine while the other is riddled with puddles - clearly the half-done drainage work from the Summer that is causing the current situation.

Re: Time For Action Football League

Have to admit I think Chris had a point, specifically this a major problem with Newport but it does also apply to other grounds as well. Saw yesterday that Newport Gwent Dragons were playing a rugby game on it when the heavens opened, and it churned the pitch up to make it even worse for the footbal...

It was.

I imagine he knows that given what he puts on Twitter.

Re: Saturday v Scunthorpe

What an extraordinary day, as others mentioned we really weren't at the races for the entire first half, and we didn't really pick up until 30 minutes to go. In the end I think we deserved the draw, although Abu needs a talking to after the suicide backpass in injury time!

I used to like Tejan-Sie.

Can only imagine Gain retired.

Re: Louis Dennis

I reckon something has gone on behind the scenes with this one - he was involved at the start of the season and then all of a sudden he's seemed to have dropped off the radar.

Disappointed as I rated him.

Great news, very happy that someone has finally bucked the trend and turned Posh down.

Re: Saturday v Scunthorpe

Dickson is cack, not to mention he offers nothing when we need forwards to defend if we're leading late on in a game. Southend being the prime example.

Re: posh

Given our record of finding replacements in January, I wouldn't have accepted unless it was an offer that would seriously benefit the club.

Poor Wayne, doubt he's had much of a say in this.

Re: posh

Didn't we do well by selling Gayle though. I don't know the numbers but I'd be surprised if we'd beaten the £1.5m we got if we'd kept hold of him and sold him at the end of the season. He only went for the amount he did as he'd proven himself in the Championship. A top League 2 striker will rarely ...

Re: posh

Have we almost set a precedent for ourselves with the Gayle did as well I wonder? How much did he originally go for? £700K or lower? If we accepted that for someone that was a top talent in League Two and probably rated higher than Murphy is now by those in leagues above, then we've effectively corn...

USADAGGER nick wrote:Never mind. I just saw it in the Ilford Recorder. I hope we got at least 500K but closer to 750K for him. Shouldn't have been sold for anything less. Hope we didn't over budget this season
If we get above £300K I'll be very surprised.
