Re: Better

Sparkes much improved today but still don't fancy him defensively he left Howells with 2 on several occasions. Howells also for my money isn't up to it when someone runs at him as their sub did. First half excellent but should've taken more of our chances. Agree with lupins largely about Boucaud. Ro...

Re: Doidge

Let's not rewrite history with Tomlin. The only time in his career he reached double figures was 1 season at Southend. Most of his career he's been pretty disappointing. He might have got a few decent moves in his career but barely lasted a season at most clubs.

Re: Doidge

Tbf all the rest of us saw was Doidge celebrating in front of our fans so he was always going to get abuse after that. Before he did that I didn't hear anything negative towards him bar the usual mild wind-up attempts.

Re: Monkey Hangers (H)

They have loads of injuries. We need to win this one or suddenly our season could unravel.

Re: Doidge

I thought he was genuinely pretty useless with us and only got support because he worked harder than the other players. He's obviously a better player now, he looked quicker and fitter at fgr and was closing the defenders down even harder than he did with us. His finishing is better and calmer. If h...

Re: How Meny ?

I would estimate you could get at least double in the Bury Road than was there. It looked quite populated but in reality there was loads of space to move around in. Ipswich game you were in body contact with at least 4 other people.

Re: Don't know what ya doing !!

The point about wingers and full backs seems accurate and is something that really puzzles me. You'd think if JS was unhappy with them being caught wrong side continually that he'd do something but it just seems to carry on. His sides of the past when we had success were built on more solid foundati...

Re: Don't know what ya doing !!

I'm not sure we have the players to play 442. Our wide players are so attack-minded it becomes 424. I hoped Sparkes would be the more balanced wide man that would allow us to go 442 but so far his defensive work has been non existant. Caprice yesterday must've been amazed how easy it was for him to ...

Re: Bury Road Redvelopment

I would like a roof I'm just not sure it's a good use of funds. Was only joking about rebuilding TBS!

Re: Bury Road Redvelopment

It wouldn't help the atmosphere much as you'd still be splitting home fans across TBS and sieve. People in Bury Road don't want to sit and will just go round the side. In this division we'd be fine with home fans in a covered Bury Road but in FL2 we'd be like an away team in our own ground if they a...

Re: Bury Road Redvelopment

I personally don't have any issue with the current Bury Road end, and would also prefer money to go into the team. We've got a pretty nice stadium these days already. The worst thing that ever happened for atmosphere was the TBS. Away support are there to milk them and big away followings will alway...

Re: Supporters take note

To address one point made, JMD parent club wanted him in the football league.

Also I think it's a bit rose tinted to say he carried us, his form fluctuated like most young players and he was even dropped for a few games I believe. Great player but we weren't a one man team by any stretch.

Re: Supporters take note

A handful of our most loyal fans regularly indulge in unacceptable behaviour. I wouldn't want to dissuade them from attending games but do think some need to take a look. I mentioned this before but I saw 2 regulars at Woking giving Adams abuse calling him f'in useless at a volume he could hear. Whe...

Re: Time for a change

I don't really have an issue with bad language but there were a couple of songs that were pretty ridiculous. Threatening violence with a pitch and stewards between you is cringeworthy. There are the odd comments that make me wince but they are largely drowned out unless you're right by the person ma...
