Re: Too much passion or just irresponsibility?

The captain should lead by example in all aspects of the game. My initial reaction at the time of the incident was that he deserved to be sent off, and nothing I have seen since has changed my view.

I am a big supporter of Abu but he let everyone down on this occasion.

Re: Luke Wilkinson wins League 2 Player of the Month

Pleased for Wilko, Funny how everyone seems to be anti Saah now. I have said right from the start that he was not up to what was needed.

Wilko did have a couple of nightmares last season but he only seemed to be selected on sufference which probably did not help his confidence.

Re: Burnett Poll In or Out

Hearing the news about Russ Wilcox just says it all. I would snap him up.

I really hope that Scunthorpe drop like a stone.

Re: Friday Nights

Friday nights are a nightmare for my journey. I made it last week, but if it became the norm then I would give up my season ticket, and just come to the occasional Saturday game.

Re: Burnett Poll In or Out

Admit it Nick, did our Board make any real attempt to keep us in League 1? Did they seek external funding to go with our newly elevated status?

The Board are comfortable as it is, and will probably be more comfortable when we eventually return to the Conference.

Re: Burnett Poll In or Out

Go now WB by falling on your sword then the club could afford to employ another manager. This current squad are mostly your players so the buck stops with you WB. I reckon that most of the players who have left for whatever reason since JS left would be playing now in the team instead of the present...

Re: Orient tonight

The only time you tend to hear from Chairmen in football is when they are giving the manager a vote of confidence or the sack. Some of the stuff we would like to hear about the team should be coming from the manager's notes rather than the same old dross he serves up in every match programme. Perhap...

Re: Case For The Defence

Considering Ebbsfleet whacked us 4-0, I would say the lower reaches of Conference South (our home form anyway).

I still feel that a decent defensive coach should be able to sort us out, but we seem to lack the necessary skills either on the pitch or within the management team.

Re: Ins and Outs

How anyone could have given Batt a 2 year deal (if in fact that is the case), then I am astonished, if not surprised . He must go somehow! I will be amazed if Abu is here by the end of January. The club will sell him then rather than get nothing for him next summer. Perhaps some of you think that Ab...

Re: 2 steps forward 3 steps back.

Sadly, as I been saying for months, we need defenders who attack set pieces at both ends of the pitch.

I see players week in and week out from non league who put our central defenders to shame.

Re: Abu Ogogo off to Millwall

Unless our crowds increase dramatically, then Abu is probably the only fit player who can fetch any income for the club which will keep keep us going after this season. The Gayle gold will be exhausted by next May.

I will be pleased for him but concerned for our club.

Re: Looked good.

Even though my affection for the club has been diluted by some of our recent acquisitions, I must praise the team for their performance yesterday. The defence, (apart from young Jack), were impressive against a team of giants. The forward moving interplay was great to watch, as was Cureton. I also f...

what about the defence?

Lots of comments about our new signing and how many goals we may score, but those of us who have sadly been around the block , keep looking at our defence and going aaaaaagggghhhh! We are not looking through rose tinted spectacles! Just be happy to retain our League status is my aim this year. If we...

Re: DOIDGE SIGNS

Sussex, I am not sure what Goldberg has done to upset you so, but if he does leave the club then I think it will be another name to haunt us in the future. Trust me, Bromley, where he was on loan last year would run us close at the moment.
