Re: Time for Daryl to go?

It isn’t blowing smoke up his arse to point out that he could get a tune out of our squad more effectively than our manager. When he departed for Southend we were in the play off positions and only 6 points off top spot whilst Southend were 15 points below us and only 1 point out of the relegation z...

Re: Time for Daryl to go?

There is some irony that the man some of our support called a dinosaur seemed better able to get a tune out of the squad than McMahon.

Since Southend appointed Still head of football:

Southend: W9 D4 L 2 = 2.07 ppg

Daggers: W7 D2 L6 = 1.53 ppg

Morons in Sieve

Reduce the prices, increase the number of idiots.

I saw a steward who had taken a full size bottle of vodka off a youngster inside of the ground. We saw repeated instances of bottles thrown onto the pitch. I hope we got them on CCTV and deal with them, but I doubt that we will.

Re: George Saunders

Hope George recovers fully and quickly.

Looked to me like the contact was outside the box and both players went in hard. I don’t understand how it went from no foul to red card.

The club are in a tricky position having failed to get rid of Luke Pennell or Abu Ogogo when they received suspended jail sentences.

And another one - they’ve signed O’Connor from Burton who has played 21 games for the league 1 side with 5 league goals from midfield.

Re: Wrexham

Ah, the romance of sport.

They’ve also now signed McFadzean from Crewe, another dropping 2 divisions.

Re: Crucial Week.

Agreed Joel. McCallum and Walker was a great partnership especially when we had Jones in midfield. McCallum and Balanta is too slow. Easy to cherry pick stats for a period that suits to get at McCallun, but you could do the same to Balanta: we were top of the league after 8 games when Balanta return...

Re: Crucial Week.

McCallum and Walker look like our best pairing. Walker has the pace and McCallum the muscle. We miss Joey Jones winning the ball and starting attacks. If you get those three and Weston in the team, we will be a force in this division.

Aldershot

Not a great performance but given the quick turnaround, the win is all that matters.

Baffled by the officials and the choice of MOTM, which I though Zouma would get for the tackle and clearance which led to the winner. Morias seemed rather ineffectual to me.

Re: Some Whys

McCallum is a target man who needs crosses. His partner has to do the running. Walker plays well with him because he is quick and does the running. Balanta isn’t and doesn’t and I don’t think the McCallum and Balanta play well together. If however we don’t play Weston and get crosses in to the box, ...

Re: Halifax (A)

5 defeats in 7.

We need a centre back who can defend dirty. At the moment we are relying on our (suspended) centre forward to defend set pieces.

I don’t think Will Wright in the middle would make things any better.

Re: Boreham Wood

Title winning sides usually have a rock solid defence which gives them both a platform to play and the ability to nick tight games. We have a defence leakier than the roof giving this forum its name. Think Kompany at City, Terry at Chelsea, Vidic at Man Utd we just don’t have that type of defender.

The leisure centre car park opposite was where I used to park. I think it’s free for 3 hours.
