Re: Brutal

They continue to haemorrhage cash - wages, NI and pensions 3.75m in year ending April 19. Imagine their losses in 19/20 and 20/21.

Re: Aldershot (H)

I think the point I’m making is that we have not played to McCallum’s strengths and he gets skated, but we haven’t played to Balanta’s either and so they are equally ineffective but Balanta doesn’t get the criticism McCallum gets.

Re: Aldershot (H)

I don’t understand why Balanta gets a pass from so many people. He’s been as ineffective as McCallum. The recruitment was terrible. We have not improved at all from last year and is it really any better than the dross Taylor served up when we were going bust? To my mind, it isn’t. Thanks Daryl, but ...

Re: Aldershot (H)

Where on earth do they find these officials?

That’s a poor half.

Saunders is miles off the standard required for a team who are supposed to be pressing for promotion.

Re: Hartlepool

Eyes down for McMahon bingo:

“They’re a very good side”

“We played very well”

“We created lots of chances”

“We have to be better in both boxes”

“It’s a strange season”

“There are xx number of games left”

Re: An Update from the National League

The board put a vote to the member clubs and the majority voted to carry on. Dover are lucky not to be expelled.

Re: Hartlepool

We are a couple of months from the end of a season where we were looking for promotion and say in 16th. It’s been abysmal. We had half an hour that was good, but our keeper was our best player and stopped us getting a pasting.

Dover, Woking, et al

Ok, so what should be done about Dover? Nothing isn’t an option, because we now have Woking saying they will follow suit should they get knocked out of the Trophy. You can’t have a position where clubs can decide unilaterally they don’t want to play anymore. Like it or not, the league is continuing ...

Re: Maidenhead

Rode our luck at times, could have been 2-0 down before we scored with them hitting the woodwork twice and Justham made a fantastic save at the end of the first half. Jones had some horrible touches, but my goodness, Sagraf didn’t even do that! McCallum did what you want a forward to do - right plac...

Re: Boreham Wood (H)

Some terrible defending. Not a great performance and a ref who had no idea whatsoever - the failure to book Ashmore for time wasting was astonishing.

Re: New Signing & John Still

Interesting. Also interesting that the team seem to be showing a bit more in the last couple of games. Has Still been giving them his standard “Daggers never give up” talk?

Re: New Signing & John Still

The interview with Daryl mentions a lack of the hunger that John Still and Garry Hill’s teams had, not that he was involved?

But if he was and we got a decent player in, who cares?

Re: Sutton United (H)

Give the owners some credit, they do watch the games. At the end of the day we gave away 2 pens with poor defending (second one looked very soft) and Justham made 2-3 excellent saves whilst we hardly troubled their keeper (goal aside). There’s more effort, but still lacking quality. Desperately need...

Re: National League Resolution

Of course, a third challenge might be why was the vote continue or declare null and void with no points per game option which would have preserved promotion to and relegation from the National League.

Re: National League Resolution

2 different points here though. First one, is there a provision that a simple majority of step 2 clubs can declare the season for both step 2 leagues null and void. Eg if every club in the North voted to end the season and 1 club in the south, that would end the season for the south even though all ...
