Re: pompey

What's "going soft" got to do with it? You're questioning if it is a foul. Of course it is. It's a foul by any player anywhere on the pitch and under pretty much every version of the laws of the game there have ever been. There has never been anything that stops a foul being a foul because...

Re: pompey

Is the second yellow card a foul, after looking at the highlights he appear to go to ground to be first to the ball and looks to me he dont even know the player is there as the opponent comes in from what looks like behind . It is unfortunate he appears to get nothing on the ball but still looks to ...

Re: pompey

What a strange way to respond to what was a general comment on the general idea of a team playing well and losing 3-0.

But not something I've not come to expect from you given some of your responses to me in the past.
Still, it's nice to know I can rattle your cage without even trying to.

Re: pompey

It doesn't matter if we "played well" we still conceded 3 goals and lost. The basic principle of football is to score more than your opponents. If you fail to do that then you haven't really played well. As for the second booking - it's a pointless challenge and a really stupid one to make...

Re: My bottom teams

It's all very well sitting and saying 'this team will be worse than us', but there are probably supporters of other teams sitting around saying the same about us.

Re: Logo

I don't get this thing about it not being recognisable.
How many of us would recognise many badges of teams outside the Premier League?

Re: Is this a fair statement ?

It's completely unfair. They don't lack ambition, they just don't have the same ambition as some of our supporters. They're very different things. In the 96/97 the club was in the Isthmian League and was in a right mess. If someone had said we'd go on to play in the Football League within 15 years o...

Re: Adebayo Signs

I agree with that but like with O'Brien's 2 mistakes, he's done well up to now so it's easy to say after the mistakes that he isn't good enough.. I doubt Connors has been told to dive in, in the box and Green was given a chance after that. With the 2 corners you can say maybe Gayle (I think was the...

Re: Same old, same old...

I hope that everyone (and there were alot of you) who constantly had pops at Lewy and effectively drove him away from the club were there today. Also, Brian Saah, what exactly does he do? Wins very few headers, gives needless free kicks away, and kicks the ball 60 yards straight to their goalkeeper...

Re: Same old same old......(The original thread)

I'm not saying Wayne is without blame, far from it.The board need to do their bit too though.Im quite sure blaming attendances on Wayne alone (Which is why I have piped up in this instance) is a bit rich when little or no effort in bringing new fans in has really been tried at board level.I absolute...

Re: Adebayo Signs

Sorry Matt it's a team game with components within, the defence being one part of. Therefore the defence has to be treated first as a unit. Think about the goals we've been conceding majority are individual errors, of course we are going to concede a goal every now and then through purely being ope...

Re: Same old, same old...

Yep, it was applauding how well they did it, but we still got the cross in so them stopping our wingers wasn't effective as we found a way around it through Cureton.. It's alright stopping our wingers, but if you don't stop the other players from doing the same thing they haven't done their job hav...

Re: Same old same old......(The original thread)

Our home form is so poor I would not be surprised if the board have had a word with Wayne as the financial implications of losing fans by hundreds is massive for a club of our size. We have enough to stay up but at what cost? About 300 home fans on top of season tickets yesterday but how many freeb...
