Re: Maidenhead home
Most people saying Phipps is a makeshift/emergency striker, but with each game that goes by he looks more like the new Chris Sutton

Re: Southend Away KO Time
Morning all. Just to let you know, for those who don't. The railway pub outside of Prittlewell station generally let in well behaved away fans. Good pub. Decent beer and large beer garden etc. Unfortunately, away pubs near the ground are thin in the ground due to being home only. In town there are ...

Re: Bye Trinity
So Mr Freund and a crowd of Americans were at the match today and as the second half started they made their way to the SD Samuel’s stand, giving it large! So what is all that about? Has he come to buy us a striker? It was after our second goal but I was going to mention this as thought it was quit...

Re: Altrincham home
Well done to the boys but a slightly strange game. We started very well first 15 mins but then gave up possession for almost all of the rest of the game, albeit they rarely looked like hurting us. Got our goals out of nothing really, but yes an assured finish by Phipps. Onwards and upwards.

Re: Bye Trinity
One of the few things keeping me going is that I like the people I sit near. I hope they like me too  :sub: For me sitting with friends, enjoying their humour and knowledge, is all part of the matchday experience. Yes, I see people who I only see at games and I go with my son so it's some...

Re: Halifax Home Diversity Match Thread
Groundhog Day at home. Another game we started brightly in and overall should have definitely got something out of but ultimately lacked the firepower. You can't blame Sears, he's being asked to do something that's not his game, hold the ball up and win headers when he's 5.7" or something. I ho...

Re: Bromley (A) Thread
Never a fully good result with Dagenham is it? A fantastic point, continuing the theme of battling until the very end. Sounds like we deserved more from it too! But despite that it’s gutting to see Vincent, one of the stars of our turn in form, out with a bad injury. We will really miss him whilst ...

Re: Bromley (A) Thread
Played well and wasn't sure how we managed to be 2-0 down at HT. Pereira was excellent second half and thought Sears had a decent game (deserves more respect). Limbs in the away end at the death. Quick pint in the Spoons before a relatively short trip home. Happy days.

It wasn't a must win game, more of a let's try and not lose game, so job done.

Re: Oxford City
Still amuses me slightly when even a team rock bottom of the NL attempt to 'play out from the back'. I'm not saying they didn't manage it on occasion but most of the time they were quite clearly better off hoofing it long.

Re: Kidderminster Harriers
Yep, as above thought we actually played fairly well overall but we could be playing now and not score. Kiddy score a well taken goal on a rare attack which was a carbon copy of the first one Solihull scored against us. The lad Ibe is not up to it I'm afraid, some okay moments but not enough. No20 a...

Re: Dorking (Home)
Man, that was a breathless finish! Was walking out the ground in utter dismay after they scored only to hear a big roar and came running back in. I don't give a hoot that I missed it, just so happy to win. Not saying we were brill, far from it but we were much the better team. They were always going...

Re: Danny Cowley
Dare to dream but they were the next big thing at Lincoln but didn't work out at Huddersfield and Pompey so they're on their way back down. Think of the terms they'd have been on at those clubs, they were stratospheres out of league for appointments. Sure they'll be taking a cut at Colchester, but m...

Re: NL: Wealdstone (H) 16 December 2023
Today is the only time I can ever remember leaving before the final whistle even when we've beaten by five. Today was a new low. All games seem to take a similar pattern; we start out okay and create a few chances and when we don't score (inevitably) the opposition grow in confidence. Wealdstone wer...
