Re: Darragh MacAnthony

I would still challenge the assertion that we need a backer. If we can't pay even this wage bill next season then we'll need a smaller squad on less money per head. I'd rather be a Newcastle than a Chelsea. I still hope for a level headed owner who will cover only small losses and who is mainly con...

Re: DAGGERS TRAVELS 2017/18

A right old mixed bag of trips in store for us next season, including a few mammoth journeys. Some good weekender opportunities too! Ideal scenario for us distance wise would be for Tranmere to go up, along Chelmsford & Chorley. CONFIRMED Leyton Orient – 11.9 (miles) Bromley – 26.5 Maidstone – 32.8...

The new bloke Howells looks fatter than me and diggerthedog put together. Surely unfit if you saw him Saturday.

Re: sssssssshhh

24 hours at £7.50 ph is £180 per day! Minimum wage is increasing to nearer £9 by 2020, or 20%.

Obviously staff can cover more than i resident but there will also need to be cover for sickness, holidays etc.

Re: VOTE RESULT

Is that a valid poll if you cannot vote against the resolution? If the only option is for or abstain, I mean. If you abstain, you haven't voted so he got 100% of the vote and always would? I don't know and I'm assuming that the ballot paper was designed after taking legal advice. Looking at the Not...

I thought they might win the vote as most members would be of older generation (like myself) and have that connection with the past - ie the Easts.

Re: The thoughts of DJB....

I think we owe Mike our thanks for spending so much time seeking the interviews and making them available. It was good to read DJB's thoughts too. I read the Tamplin interview - initially I was impressed and then had second thoughts - it just seemed too good to be true. I don't think it was Mike's f...

20 April 1996 (20th Anniversary)

My first game at Daggers and lost 3-2 at home to Runcorn.

Relegated to Ryman League at end of the season.

No way did I expect Daggers to spend 9 years in the Football League (including one in League 1) back then.
