Re: Bromley (A) Thread

Conflicting emotions after that. The bigger picture is it's a decent point at a hard place to go, which leaves us neatly positioned inside the playoffs with the added benefit of games in hand. However, difficult to be so pragmatic after the manner of the late equaliser, an inevitable consequence of ...

Bromley (A) Thread

Following two frost-induced postponements which intensify our backlog further along the line, we finally return to action seeking to regain seventh place against the very side who unavoidably usurped us for it at the weekend, Bromley. Big game. Hopefully we can continue our upturn in away league for...

Re: Maidenhead (Away) Postponed

Five Tuesday games scheduled with two more to come after the postponements this week, most likely a third if Altrincham beat the FA Trophy's lowest ranked remaining side to progress to the quarters which take place on the day they're meant to host us. It's gonna be a ridiculously busy end to the sea...

Re: Maidenhead (FA Trophy, Home)

πŸ”΄πŸ”΅ Daggers' hopes for an FA Trophy run, feasible given the elimination of the entire top four in the National League, were disappointingly extinguished by a robust Maidenhead United outfit owing to a susceptibility from long balls. πŸ’¬ π—₯π—˜π—£π—’π—₯𝗧 - https://dagnificent.weebly.com/match-reports/daggers-0-ma...

Did McMahon revert back to flat back 4 last night?
The standard five still, with Hare at RWB.

Re: Aldershot..

Two brilliant finishes from Walker on a night where he could have had double that tally, with the 70 minutes inbetween almost exclusively consisting of us standing off Aldershot to allow them possession in much the same way we did their near rivals Woking three days prior, the difference being that ...

Re: Woking..

An authentic barometer of Daggers' play-off credentials but unfortunately one on which they fell alarmingly short to an extent exceeding the deceptively tight scoreline, as Woking proved far superior in every department. πŸ’¬ π—₯π—˜π—£π—’π—₯𝗧 and Player Ratings from Saturday - https://dagnificent.weebly.com/matc...

Re: Woking..

I was very concerned upon seeing a lineup that placed too much sentiment towards abject defenders off the back of clean sheets against the worst team in the league when it should have been Onariase and Phipps back in. We were improved after bringing the latter on at half time but by this point it wa...

Re: Standard of officiating in this game!

After spurning countless opportunities to push forward into the play-offs throughout the past, we must have all been thinking this was another after two appalling decisions coupled with plenty of missed chances, but we refused to accept it wasn't our day and conjured up a moment of brilliance. That'...

New Years' Resolutions

2022 was the ultimate nearly year for Daggers: a point outside the play-offs, desperately close to a lucrative FA Cup third round tie, and mere seconds from a Trophy semi. I've evaluated the changes needed to avoid this one going the same way. β†ͺ️ https://dagnificent.weebly.com/daggers-blog/new-years...

Re: Maidstone United (H) Thread

I like the 4-3-3 a lot, especially as it absolves Weston of his defensive responsibilities and enables him to channel his energy doing what he does best in attacking positions.

Maidstone United (H) Thread

This year's festive offering sees the first of a double-header against Maidstone United as we return to league action following a near-month break induced by the recent sub zero temperatures. Our last Vanarama fixture brought a surprising defeat at home to Torquay United, albeit with the misfortune ...
