Re: North Sixth Group
I think Inih is perhaps a red herring here. As much as I think he is absolutely vital to our system, would we break the bank for him at 33? What if we could find a similar but younger player, perhaps for similar money? I think we have to look at the whole squad build to really understand how things ...

Re: Retained List
Page is unfortunately too much of a risk despite being a good player.
As for Hare, I don't think it makes sense to spend a chunk of your budget on 2 established right backs. Ling is clearly first choice, and then you need someone who can maybe play 2 or 3 positions or a younger player as cover.

Re: The Released Players Thread
I believe he bought a place in Hertford having previously been in St Albans. It's quicker to get to Hertford from Dagenham than Woking. I don't buy the moving closer to home thing.

Re: The Released Players Thread
He might find himself in a tricky situation. Contracted to a club we know are paying good money. Apparently doesn't want to leave the south east. Can't see Barnet or Aldershot taking him.
That leaves Southend with the Still connection. As a cheeky suggestion... could he end up at Hornchurch?

Re: Play Offs
Southend will likely throw money at it but otherwise there is absolutely nothing to worry about in that list. Great chance for playoffs if we have even a half decent season.

Yes, same Ibe. Has barely played in 4 years. He had a long time away from football with depression I believe.

Press guy must have misheard. That figure is the away attendance.

Re: FA Cup - no replays
I suppose the lack of replays favours the bigger team, who should be fitter and have longer for their quality to win out. All those lower league sides hanging on for a draw will go away. So less revenue for small teams and less prestige too. It's a terrible decision.

Re: Points
We won the league on a Saturday and had to play Monday and Wednesday that week, losing both. To be fair at least we recovered to win 2 of our last 3. Chesterfield just seen to be losing every game against rubbish sides.

Re: Woking away
We're running on fumes by the looks of it. Hare is very much an emergency centre back, Effiong is not fully over his injury, then we lost Page, Dion and Ling too. Rees didn't really get in the game, Hilly scored a lovely goal but also not at his best. And despite all that we gave Woking a good game ...

Re: Woking - Pubs?
Unfortunately Merge I think that for segregated games, no away fans are allowed in the cardinals bar. Not sure how they police it, perhaps they check tickets.

Re: Woking - Pubs?
If you're getting the train then there's quite a few pubs in the town centre, including a spoons and the junction tap which are cheap. Personally I'd go to the sovereigns. It's then a 15 min walk down to the ground. At the ground itself normally the snooker club allows away fans into the bar.

He keeps getting booked for leaving his technical area. His feet are inside but his nose is on the touchline.

Re: Southend Away KO Time
I am apprehensive because I feel like in front of a decent crowd we never win. Oldham 6500 drew Chesterfield 7200 lost Southend 3200 lost Southend last season 7300 lost In fact Notts County last season is about the only time I can remember us winning away in front of over 3k in years. Stockport away...
