Well done James
I don’t know if anyone else noticed. but it appeared at the first league home game of the season, every advertising panel around the ground was filled. I can’t ever remember seeing this before so early in the season. In previous seasons the boards are at the most 50% full, often as little as 25% ful...

Re: Dreadfull.
Full credit to Southend who were fierce from the off.
They played like a team, which is not surprising considering because of their embargo, its the same team that just missed out on the playoffs last season.

Re: NL: Southend United (H) 12 August 2023
Is that a joke? We have been protesting for months outside the chairman's house, in the high street and at the ground. More protests are planned. Hardly jumping on the bandwagon. A good few are still boycotting home games and just doing away so it's hardly surprising that we have sold out our alloc...

https://www.southendunited.co.uk/news/2023/july/national-league-statement/ Game on I've copied and pasted the text of the National League statement below, as we all know how these things might get amended over time. The National League have issued the following statement. The National League apprec...

Re: No Views From The Sieve
Thank you to Ian Gorsuch who emailed me this photo. It is published with his permission.
Bloody hell - how is anyone meant to see the game from that?

Re: Tony Roberts
Amazing appointment and congratulations to Tony.
Incidentally, it is 12 years ago today that he announced his immediate retirement from playing for the Daggers.

Re: Southend United
It's not just the "club" up for sale though is it? It's the ground too - at a "bargain" price of £4.5m. If an individual - or a group of folks - had a few million, I just can't see the temptation of laying out that kind of sum..and then still having all the historic debts, the c...

Re: West Ham Friendly
Will be a big attendance and bring in some cash for the club. Yes. This is why I give others the opportunity to experience the daggers from my seat for the friendlies and put their money into the club for the day. Hopefully they will spend money in the bars, the club shop and want to revisit the cl...

Should be a good crowd today. All the seats are sold out.
Have fun if you’re going.

Re: Friendly: West Ham (H)
Finally a friendly at home. Traditionally, we usually have few home friendlies and as late in the scheduled as possible, in order to protect our pitch. Not having many makes sense but having them early and then giving the pitch a few weeks to recover before the season starts would seem to make more...
