Re: Ricay

I think you will find Mr Tamplin has just performed another one of his magic money tricks with the latest AGP entity to be wound up.

The figures involved make for quite horrific reading!

Re: Clubhouse

I would be astounded if this was ready in time, given it's very much still just a steel shell with a few wooden beams for the roof to go on.

Without knowing the finer details, it looks from the outside as though the building firm we've employed on this project are royally taking the piss

Re: Manny Signs

No doubting this is a great signing and very chuffed with it. Our squad is undoubtedly looking a lot stronger than it was at the end of last season. My only slight fear is that of the signings made so far, we've got 1 Keeper, 4 defenders, 5 Midfielders and 1 striker. Get 1 more quality striker throu...

Re: Another New Signing

Mitch Brundle - ex Dover Captain. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/doverathletic/mitch-brundle-t7213.html?sid=6a039b297e46f1c0ce37d142a190de35 They seem pretty disappointed to be losing him: "Mitch Walker is from Sussex so I doubt it . Be gutted if we lose Brundle, for me our best player." Welcome to...

Re: Justin Edinburgh

Such a huge loss to what will now go down as an Orient legend.
I remember talk about him being close / wanting to join us around the Burnett era - really did want that to happen.

RIP

Re: Still Problems at Ebbsfleet

I have to say, the job Garry Hill has done there considering this long running situation is nothing short of miraculous. Kept them within a shout of the playoffs until only recently. I thought he was past it and didn't previously want him back, however perhaps he does have unfinished business of tak...

Re: All Change For Braintree

I think Nick hit the nail on the head for me. I was busy beforehand and possibly couldve made the game, but with virtually nothing at stake against an already relegated side and with a host of changes being already confirmed, this was the game to head straight home and onto the sun lounger. I noneth...

Re: Well done Peter Taylor.

Definitely a great achievment to stay up with games to spare, and obviously a big well done to PT, TH and all the players. Agree with DTD that it was almost certainly only made possible by the guys at Trinity Sports enabling us to improve the playing squad. With respect to PT its such an odd one tha...

Re: Club development plans

Another who is very happy to see some more work on the club / clubhouse itself. The red monstrosity in the car park is clearly a complete eyesore and will be well rid. There are clearly numerous other things in the ground that need sorting too - not least the toilets and some actual soap dispensers ...

Re: Chesterfield

Bit of a dig at the fans from Taylor in todays post match interview. When discussing supporters feelings on various changes he made, he said "when it doesnt come off, unfortunately the noisy ones get noisier" Im still not convinced 1 way or the other on if Taylor should be retained for next season b...

Re: End of season points total

Despite it being a tuesday night for a game with virtually (hopefully) nothing riding on it, only 995 people turned out. I have to confess too, I was one that didnt bother who after getting out of work late rocked up to the ground already at 2-0 down decided to stay in the clubhouse for the duration...

From the website:

"Ticket prices for this fixture have been heavily reduced when bought in advance to support this."

Re: Havant & Waterlooville

Hard to comment too much without (thankfully) not being at the game, but given the players have a very nice rest period now I would be ultra disappointed if any of the other changes made were things other than injury (such as Wilkinson) - given the truly fantastic, attacking display we put in agains...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville

Think Wilko took a knock so would make sense.

The surprise for me is seeing Munns back on the bench.

Plenty of time left to turn it around - keep the faith
