Re: It's time now....
Lots of different parts to the whole thing isn’t there. Crowd wise I don’t believe there was over 1000 in there last night. But, if you look at crowds round country last night they were down quite a bit (sadly a lot of people seem to put Valentines Day ahead of football, but that’s another debate!!)...

Re: It's time now....
I haven’t got involved in any of this as never think these things are as clear cut as they seem, but enough is enough. No direction, no plan, no energy, no leadership, no drive. No anything at all!! As I say, these things are never as simple as they appear (reasons for winning and losing) but unfort...

Re: Barnet
Mad old afternoon that!!! Could/should have been 6 or 7-1 at half time, and by the end could/should have been about 10-7!! Haven't looked at the stats, but even aside from the goals there were chances and half chances galore at either end. Kind of summed up the season I would say. Some brilliant stu...

Re: Time for Daryl to go?
Surely it’s what the fit is for what the club wants?? Goes back to the other thread doesn’t it, and having a plan and vision?? Some clubs will need a manager used to working with tight budgets. Some want one who can be a quick fix. Some want one who can bring through young players. Having a plan and...

Re: Eastleigh (A)
Do people really think Danny Cowley is a realistic target if McMahon went?? I did mention him as a potential Daggers manager to the HLP boys.............about 7 years ago!! I am sure he has had and is having a lot of job offers at Championship and League One level. It would cost a huge amount to tem...

Re: Eastleigh (A)
I don't disagree the last ten years have been painful and hardwork for supporters. I can hardly recall 5 memorable games or days out (based on the football) since May 2021. The ten years before that I could name you 20 without even thinking. I used to do 40-45 games a season like a lot of people on ...

Re: Eastleigh (A)
Good post Mark, and a pretty good summary of the last 10 years!!! I wouldn't disgaree with anything on the timeline. Would just point out a couple of things though. Not that I would say I disagree with most or any of what you have put, but just a little bit of an alternative view (hope that's allowe...

20 Years Ago Today..........
So what were you up to at this time 20 years ago today?? I was on the way to the cafe to line the stomach before meeting in the Yeoman at 11.00 for a quick couple and then on to South London. Can't believe it was 20 years ago. We have had a number of great away days before and since, including a lot...

Re: Altrincham Match First Game for Fans
As others have said, the matchday experience and organisation worked very well. Easy to get in, lots of stewards, no issues at all. Bit frustrating there are a few selfish people about with regards to standing spots in the sieve. We arrived at 2.20pm to make sure we got a decent spot in plenty of sp...

Re: Time for Daryl to go?
It's all a very very strange situation which I can't get my head round in all honesty. Yesterday was poor, a huge anti-climax (although I actually thought till they scored we were playing ok). I can't see how Balanta is not in the team if he is fit. Leaving out him and Deering leaves us almost total...

Re: Mark Janney Thunderbolt
Oh my word!!! 20 years ago!!! That has made me feel very nostalgic but also a little bit depressed in all honesty (where has 20 years gone)!!! Was a great day. League success is great, and those promotions were all remarkable, but there is something about the Cup/Trophy, and that was the start of th...

Re: RIP Ted Hardy
Very very sad news. A huge part of this club and many of the club's forerunners, and a hugely popular character across the whole non-league scene. Am only old enough to remember his spell with the current club, but even after retiring he was a constant presence at home games for so long and had time...

Re: Some Saturday Afternoon Reading....
Cheers Merge, good read.
Also if anyone is bored, it’s 28 years today since DandR 4, Orient 5 in the FA Cup, and the Orient Twitter account has a link to the SKY highlights from the day which I had never seen before but are very good quality.

Re: New Signing
Don't know the details, but a bloke like this wont' be playing for peanuts. Our owners have well and truly backed the manager again with this signing. Our squad, on paper, looks pretty strong now in most positions.
